Tom Winnifrith Bearcast, Jim Mellon, SalvaRx and the lessons from the todger spray episode

In today's delayed podcast I look at the lessons for SalvaRx (SALV) from the Plethora (PLE) & Regent Pacific episode and ask what is happening at Regent as its shares continue to slide? I also look at the increasingly confused picture at Online Blockchain (OBC) and then ponder why CEO's should not be a guide to share prices or when to sell, ref Optibiotx (OPTI), noting also today's events at Skinbiotherapeutics (SBTX)

Just how grim is it at Jim Mellon's flagship Regent Pacific as Fortacin just does not sell

Apologists for Jim Mellon's Regent Pacific, which thanks to the all share takeover of Plethora (PLE) has many British investors, have reacted fiercely to my article last week on how it was slashing Fortacin prices by 80%. This prompts me into further work and the alarm bells really are now ringing loudly.

Jim Mellon 's Regent Pacific profits warning - premature ejaculation proving a bit of a cock up

Oh dear, oh dear, it seems as if my old friend Jim Mellon had a bad day at the office on Friday. Hat tip to a reader who has just alerted me to a quite diabolical (lack of) profits warning from Regent Pacific which has many British shareholders thanks to its all share rescue takeover of AIM dog Plethora (PLE).

Oi! Jim Mellon - so how have Plethora shareholders done after that 12.5p all share offer you made?

Back in November 2015, Plethora Solutions (PLE) the AIM listed developer of a treatment for premature ejaculation run by offshore based asset stripper Jim Mellon was almost on its uppers, its cash position was critical and its share price had collapsed. Refinancing would have been impossible so it was announced that Regent Pacific, Mellon's Hong Kong based vehicle which already owned 28% of Plethora having chucked good money after bad, was to launch an all share offer worth 12.5p per share. I warned that was too good to be true HERE. And so let's wind forward 20 months...

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Brexit Bollocks from Gary Newman and the stench from Strat Aero & Regent Pacific (i.e Plethora)

I start with a discussion on how the sad events in Yorkshire may sway the Brexit vote before turning to Gary Newman's nonsense earlier today about Brexit, house prices and Foxtons (FOXT). Then it is onto a detailed look at Strat Aero (AERO) and also Regent Pacific, the new owner of Plethora (PLE) and in both cases its red flags ahoy big time.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast - why wont African Potash answer my fecking questions?

In a very British way I start by complaining about the weather. Right now it is sheeting it down here in Greece. Then onto Plethora/Regent Pacific before tackling what the phrase "little or no value" actually means ref Circle Oil (COP). Then onto African Potash (AFPO) and I answer the questions it will not. Target price 0p.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast - so what happened to Plethora?

I don't feel like writing today. This is what i want to be doing. But ahead of that I start by clarifying what I think of Matt Lofgran of Nostra Terra (NTOG). Then I look at what happened to Plethora (PLE) and that explains in part why shares in Port Erin (PEBI) have tanked. Then I touch on Thomas Cook (TCG) and prepare for ouzo o'clock when Environmental Recycling (ENRT) goes bust as I explained yesterday. Following that piece the shares are the biggest fallers today. Finally I have a warning for shareholders in African Potash (AFPO). Incoming! That is when I can be arsed.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast 7 March - race to 0p - Fastjet, LGO, Xcite...who else?

In the race to 0p who will win? After today's statement FastJet (FJET) is in the running as is LGO Energy (LGO), PetroCeltic and XCite Energy (XEL) which also had news today. I also look at Plethora (PLE) and the idea of something which is too good to be true. Then I move onto [email protected] - if you have not emailed the greedy useless mother yet PLEASE DO SO NOW. I offer up a suggested form of wording for your email. Warning/ Bad language alert.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast 4 Feb - Accept it: facts change and what to make of Plethora

Warning: perhaps it is best not to play this podcast in front of the kids. On the agenda today I remember when Evil Knievil was a 3Dimmer - good investors accept that facts change, I note this in reference to MX Oil (MXO). I also discuss the folly of leaping to conclusions with reference to Falanx (FLX) and cover DQ Entertainment (DQE) and why Nomads are so skittish these days. Then it is on to Imaginatik (IMTK) and my old sparring partner the fraudster Rob Terry before I end up with a discussion of spraying ones todger and what to make of the situation at Plethora (PLE), the baby of my old friend Jim Mellon

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast 15 December - Fitbug tits up poll & is it Jabba or Chris Oil for the Christmas Carol?

The Mrs listened to me recording Bearcast today and said that I seemed very happy. Maybe it is the thought of the next Afriag (AFRI) article I am working on or perhaps it was the second painkiller of the day kicking in? Or maybe a truly moronic Bulletin Board Moron posting? In this upbeat mood I discuss who should feature in this year's three part Christmas Carol? Fat Aussie share ramper David Lenigas or market abuser Chris Oil? Or should I run two series? Then a discussion on when Fitbug (FITB) goes bust. After that - in a bad language section - I discuss Arian Silver (AQG) and its fucktard PR man Dominic Baretto. I move onto Plethora (PLE), Aveva (AVV), Concha (CHA), 88 Energy (88E) and Caza Oil & Gas (CAZ) before rattling off the names of a few other small oilers that really are zeros.

On reflection: Warning bad language throughout

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast 11 November - cats, Lenigas & Finnaust: placing ahoy?

Naturally I start with the big news of the day - an update on the annual medical of my two cats Tara and Oakley. Then it is onto explaining who gets to define boring, spitefull and vendetta in terms of my earlier podcast on overvalued junk Uk Oil & Gas (UKOG). Then why Gary Newman is wrong on Plethora (PLE). Then onto Finnaust (FAM), Gulf Marine (GMS), Centaur Media (CAU) and POS Golden Saint Resources (GSR)

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast 6 November - bracing myself for lunch with Paul Scott

Listeners have pity on me. Lunch with the UK's top share blogger beckons. That means the regime which leaves Paul looking so trim and svelt - ie lots of alcohol - plus long lectures on margins in online retailing. If that does not turn a sober fellow like me into a drunken share blogger nothing will. Away from that I explain why I am not really a snob and then make a snobbish comment or two, then discuss CIC Gold (CICG), ECR Minerals (ECR), Falanx (FLX) and Optibiotix (OPTI) and the curse of the Sith Lord Zak Mir and Plethora (PLE) and its premature ejaculation drug. I dont understand what it is all about but invite readers to share their personal experiences so that we can get a grip on what's going on here.

Jim Mellon’s Regent Pacific buys Plethora at 12.5p a share but…

This is a bolt from the blue. Regent Pacific a HK and Frankfurt listed investment company run by my good friend Jim Mellon has today announced an all paper offer for AIM listed Plethora (PLE) at 12.5p a share. But hang on, the devil is in the detail.

One of our (soon to be ex) readers thinks that I am mentally ill and need help. I explain why he is incorrect. I then move on to cover Kenmare Resources (KMR), Phorm (PHRM), Plethora (PLE), Solid State (SOLI), Borders & Southern (BOR), Globo (GBO) and Falklands Oil & Gas (FOGL).

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast 23 September - these folks are ALL avin a bubble

The countdown to Corrie live is underway. If you wish to understand what life is really like in the muder and drug dealing infested sexual hothouse that is the Grim Northern welfare safari tune in tonight. How can I compete with that in a podcast? But I do my best discussing Golden Saint Resources (GSR), JQW (JQW), Vmoto (VMT), Wandisco (WAND), Publishing Tech (PTO), Daniel Stewart (DAN) and Plethora (PLE)

Self important fund manager Neil Woodford flagged up concerns about biotech valuations the other day. Discussing inter alia Plethora (PLE) another bit of a disappointment for my good friend Jim Mellon I look at how investors do and should value such stocks and tend to agree with Woodford that right now risk reward are out of kilter.
