The tweet exchange below marks Matt Hancock and this Government out as brazen liars. Not for the first time you may say but this exchange is truly sinister and unpleasant.
The Daily Mail may well be an odious right wing rag but in asking questions about the Government’s response to Covid it has done sterling work while the rest of the deadwood press and the BBC, ITV and Channel 4 fake News have wallowed in the same GroupThink as the political classes. Yesterday the paper ran a lengthy article stuffed with facts, things that have happened, hard data which expose the lies at the heart of the Government’s propaganda which it uses to justify its policy responses. The Mail article was constructed around hard facts, matters which cannot be disputed.
Below is the response from Matt Hancock’s department. There is no attempt to challenge the data for that little Hancock cannot do. So his minions just smear the paper and urge we plebs to carry on following the daft rules this Government lays down. History will not judge little Hancock well.
