When Angela Rayner termed the Tories “scum” she was attacked for her language and then the papers snapped her having a crafty cigarette outside the Labour party conference. That was the picture then used because, in 2021, all smokers are deemed stupid, ignorant and just rather dirty. Truly: smoking is the new evil.
As if to make the point, the warning below, about a movie appeared yesterday in the New York Times. For the liberal elite smoking is akin to muder and sex in that it might prove too offensive for some of them to bear. Certainly, when you have finished explaining to your kids why they are all going to die because of global warming you really wouldn’t want to scare them by letting them see someone having a cigarette. Heaven forbid.
