Already one health trust in England has banned hospital visits and force folks to wear face nappies “to save the NHS”. To save it from what? Covid of course. This is a new super strain of the Omicron variant, you remember the one that spread rapidly and killed virtually nobody. It is time for all the “experts” to be wheeled out, backing claims from public sector workers like the nurses and teachers as to why we should give them less work to do for more pay and to trainwreck the economy as we do so.
Hopefully the world’s worst commie forecaster, Devi Sridhar of Edinburgh, is already making up some numbers tp play her part.
However, even 60% of Daily Mail readers do not want masks back so the scaremongers are going to have to induce real panic if they are to get their way. Step forward Professor Susan Michie, the multi-millionaire who is an avowed commie and was on the utterly discredited Sage Committee last time around. She was on the BBC radio 4 flagship show Woman’s Hour yesterday.
Now you and I looked at the hard data from , say Wales vs England or 3 contiguous US states and can see the facts. Masking up does not stop covid spread. But Prof Michie does not care about facts, about what has happened. Instead, she had new warnings.
If you want to go to the boozer or hairdresser and avoid getting covid go earlier as there will be fewer germs there so you are less likely to catch it. Naturally this assertion was based on no hard data at all and was unchallenged by the BBC. Now even if it was true on an individual basis in terms of stopping one catching covid would it affect the overall spread of covid? Let’s say the number of folk in the boozer at 10 PM went from 12 to 10. One might see that the chances of each of the ten coming into contact with a virus spreader fall. But if those 2 drinkers from 10 pitch up to join the two folks in the boozer at 6 PM, assuming there was 1 barmen there at all times, the chances of the two six O’clock boozers coming into contact with a virus spreader have rocketed. There is , of course, no data showing pubs were spreading centres anyway.
Then Michie warned us against collective singing once again as it spreads covid. Okay hard data from the only real study on this at the University of Bristol showed this is rubbish but again Michie was unchallenged by the BBC. And so, it went on and the mask jihadists are now on a roll. Expect much more of this but will the BBC and the rest of the MSM wake up this time and challenge crass assertions with actual facts? Don’t hold your breath whether you are wearing a face nappy or not.
But there are some of my fellow citizens who cannot wait and who are already wandering around in the open air wearing masks, sometimes with the EU or Ukraainian flags upon them. Even behind that mask you can sense a smile of smug superiority. Last time around I wrote articles offering data to the mask jihadists in my home village and suggesting how silly they are. This time I shall just say to their face as they give me a disapproving glare: “fuck off the data shows masks don’t work you are insane.” If enough of us repeat that message maybe they will be forced to confront the actual data and admit that we refuseniks were right all along.
