One of the advantages of being at the end of a long and poorly lit lane is that we are unlikely to be pestered by brats saying Trick or Treat tonight. I have zero tolerance for this awful import from America.
We have,in the past, celebrated Hop-tu-naa here but in response to popular demand from Joshua and Jaya this year it is Halloween. And that means a carved pumpking with a candle in the middle, half a dozen seeds saved so I can try – and fail – to home grow pumpkins next year and supper tonight will be a creamy pumpkin soup with fried bits of bacon.
Natch this is all the work of the primary carer in this household. I am such a total progressive, sometimes it really blows me away.
