My youngest children pictured below both identify as Welsh, quite fiercely in the case of Joshua who is now a proficient Welsh speaker. The answer, of course, is the kids at Chapel as they made George’s Day cakes and wooden swords and shields celebrating the patron saint of England. On the other hand, Magdalen College Oxford cancelled a St. George’s day dinner and replaced it with an Eid celebration while Nottingham City Council, which naturally spends a packet on its EDI team, scrapped the 2023 St George’s Day march on cost grounds.
