Quite explicitly leading Democrats have played the Hitler card because Donald Trump held a massive rally at Madison Square Gardens in New York. Tim Walz, crooked Hillary Clinton and other said that Trump chose MSG because in 1939 US Nazis held a major rally there. Nothing screams desperation like this as there have been an awful lot of political events there.
In the 1930s and 1940s there were a number of anti Nazi rallies. The Democratic convention of 1980 (Carter), 1992 (Clinton) and 2004 (Kerry) were all held at the Garden. But no if Trump is there it must be a homage to Hitler.
This is so utterly desperate and serves as a reminder that the first person to use Hitler inn an argument has lost it but the Dems are on a daily basis attacking Trump for being America’s Hitler on all sorts of spurious grounds. It is a sign of a campaign that is floundering badly. It is desperation and if another assassin takes a shot at Trump, those using this inflammatory language will have blood on their hands.
Once upon a time the Democrats were decent if misguided souls. Jimmy Carter would never have sunk to these depths even as he went down to a massive defeat. Those days are gone.
If you want more evidence of how vile the nasty party has become do a twitter search for Melania. The charming Mrs Trump, a woman who speaks six languages was at MSG and gave a short and touching speech. But look at the comments what they accuse her of. The racism, sexism and misogyny overfloweth but because she is a Republican and the Dems honestly think they are the virtuous party they think it is all acceptable.
Meanwhile Kamala Harris screams at the podium “no going back” in an increasingly aggressive manner. The “joy” has all gone. The masks are off and it is as desperate as it is horrible. And the voters will realise that, putting the Dems in an ever greater doom loop as we head to November 5.
