Photo Article: Bonfire Night at the Welsh Hovel, Rachel Thieves up in smoke for a party of 20

A day later the fire is still burning away but last night it roared. Sittng on an old chair was the pumpkin from Halloween, with hair added by Joshua to depict our chancellor Rachel, from accounts, Reeves. It is probably a hate crime but along with a paper marked fake CV she went up in smoke as you can see below.

Feeling, that as the sole organiser, cook and drinks organiser, I deserved it, I had a few drinks mostly some home made mulled wine which had a good old kick. In all I enjoyed  perhaps almost as many units as I have had all year to date, five or six or eight. Guests enjoyed a Portuguese three ham and two bean stew and mashed potato prepared by my good self and, I hope, they all had a good time. The kids attending ran riot with my own youngsters..

As my health makes a Greek olive harvest before Christmas a non runner this year, the plan is, instead, to reassemble and organise a Christmas carols party with mince pies and a few other treats in mid December. There is no end to how sociable this grumpy old man is becoming.
