Christopher Booker Bang on the Money, MP’s on climate change on another planet

Christopher Booker (Uncle Chris) and I would agree that climate change is fantasy, a total con. The facts increasingly bear us out. But the gits (sorry Honourable Members of Parliament) who claim to represent us at Westminster have put into force legislation forcing the UK to cut carbon emissions by 80% to tackle this “threat.” In his column today Booker shows just how deluded these fools are.

Booker asked 50 MPs how we were going to meet this target. Not one of the 47 who replied had a Scooby. Of course they do not. 75% of our electricity is carbon emitting. Almost all of our transport system is carbon emitting. To hit these targets which the expense fiddling morons have put into law, Britain must return to the Stone Age.

There are a few who think this is achievable. Before he got into a spot of bother for activities allegedly relating to carbon emissions on the M11, Chris Huhne seemed to want to put wind turbines and solar panels across the land, ignoring a) the huge cost, b) the huge carbon footprint entailed in construction and c) (most importantly) the fact that “renewable” even on a Huhne like scale could not hope to generate enough power to make up that 80% shortfall.

At some stage even the expense fiddlers will realise that these targets are not achievable. If, at that point, they are still jetting off to summits to discuss how to tackle climate change they will reduce the targets and then reduce them again. If we are lucky they will admit that the whole global warming concept was a half-baked con and a scam and will drop the whole plan altogether. If not…bring on another stone age.
