Brexit Scare story of the day - why didn't silly Minister Nicky Morgan go the whole way and liken Eurosceptics to paedophiles?

Yes it is official. Today's fairy tale from Project Fear is that if you vote to leave the EU on June 23rd you will be damaging your children and grandchildren. Hell's teeth why didn't Education Secretary Nicky Morgan just go the whole hog and liken Eurosceptics to paedophiles?

The ludicrous assertion is based on the idea that the economy will be damaged by Brexit so young folks will not get jobs. But Ms Morgan asserts this economic view as if it is a proven fact which of course it is not. And thus her whole proposition is just based on opinion and is thus nothing more than an assertion.

In case you think the paedophile jibe is going a little far I refer you to the global warming nutters who likened we climate change sceptics to paedophiles on the basis that we did not care about the planet our kids would inherit. Of course we did we just did not believe in bogus sciences but that was not the point.

I wonder what qualifies Ms Morgan to be education secretary as she is not very bright. She ends her claim with the assertion: 'This is the generation of Instagram, easyJet and eBay. They don't want to see a Britain cut off from the world, where not only their opportunities, but our influence as a country, ends at our shores.'

Ms Morgan seems to equate the EU with the World. When I studied geography at O Level (Grade A) the 27 other countries now forming the EU were but a small portion of the world but maybe in today's GCSE's that is all different. Whatever happens on 23rd June there is no suggestion yet that the ability to use Instagram, ebay or easyjet will be in any way affected. Or perhaps that will be next week's scare story from Project Fear?

And does Ms Morgan really want us to believe that the World's 5th largest economy would as an independent nation have no influence beyond our shores? I think we have had that scare story already but how very green of Ms Morgan to recycle it.
