It is an amazing achievement for Leicester City to win the Premiership but it is only sport. It is not like "the foxes" have just discovered a cure for cancer or brought peace to the Middle East yet the media is giving us wall to wall coverage and shows no signs of stopping.
I am not sure how much more I can take of pictures of unemployed 27 stone men having their rolls of fat tattooed with pictures of foxes, or ugly women with their hair dyed blue yacking on about nothing.
Given its location in the Midlands it is no surprise that most of the citizens of this post industrial shit hole are remarkably stupid and thus it is all the more painful to have to listen to them prattling on about how the earth has changed. In order t avoid much more of this nonsense I am going to have to switch off both the radio and TV for the next week and a half.
It is all reminiscent of when mega-bore Andy Murray managed to win Wimbledon. The wall to wall media coverage may not last an eternity, it just seemed to.
So well done Leicester it is all very remarkable but I am now well and truly bored and so can we just accept that the world has not really changed in any meaningful fashion and just move on?
