Another day and another booking. There are now just two weeks between late May and late September NOT now booked out at the Greek Hovel. The pool is open in both may and October and it is easily warm anough to swim so those cheap off peak bookings are the smart ones. But if you want the height of summer there are now just two weeks in July when the house is not used which given how lovely it is, is a crime in itself. I am off myself in a few weeks to complete the final upgrade to the road up to the hovel and to install a third lavatory. I lead a glamorous life.
I am one of those MCC members who voted the wrong way. I really don’t care that much for the retention of the Oxford vs Cambridge match at Lords and as for Eton vs Harrow, I’d rather both establishments were shut down altogether. But I don’t like being sledged and I loathe the Orwellian abuse of the English language which seems to be the order of the day at the MCC these days.

On January 6 the BBC sent a reporter to Torgen to show a ski resort devoid of snow and warned that an entire industry was being killed off by man made global warming. That was, of course, fake news as I demonstrated here on 24 January by when the website onthesnow.co.uk showed 66% of Swiss reports open for ski-ing. Now guess what?
I am pretty sure I am not. In fact, although this household is very, very, mixed race ( white identifying as Northern Irish married to Asian origin identifying as English with kids mixed race identifying as Welsh) 98% of folks here in Wrexham are white. And although you would find it hard to believe given the media coverage and our Government’s determination to spend as much as it can to make Wales “the most LGBTQ friendly country in Wales” the census suggests that almost 98% of us are in fact heterosexual. In Cardiff it is only 95% so the proportion up here in North Wales must be even higher. But…

Throughout the covid scamdemic mask jihadists in my home village and the political and media class insisted masks stopped the spread of covid. I showed with hard data time and time again that masks did not work. Yet still some folks carry on masking. For them, here is a video with a stack more hard data. Ha! You’ve been had! On Holocaust Memorial Day, expert after expert went onto the airwaves to insist that what happened to the Jews started with the “othering” of them as a minority by the Nazis. Othering is a ghastly world created by Guardian reading sociologists, like my wife, but essentially it means depicting as distinct as a precursor to demonisation.
The big tent is now booked for ShareStock on September 23 this year. It will seat around 100 folks but already almost 50 of those seats have been reserved. And it is now wonder given who is speaking and all the other attractions. We might even have a jetty for you fisherman to try to grab a salmon or a pike on the day. That project is in hand. There were three historians on this show discussing the holocaust. Dan Stone and Catherine Merridale and a chap called Bernard Wasserstein. Stone has recently published a book on how folks in countries across Europe assisted or took part in the murder of six million Jews. Among those were the parents and family of Mr Wasserstein who were butchered in a village in Western Ukraine.

On Holocaust Memorial Day I found myself driving through West Yorkshire listening to kids doing a Q&A with teachers and local councillors in Bradford regarding the holocaust: what caused it, what will stop another one and “other holocausts”. Natch the panel, playing to a local audience, utterly rewrote history as they downplayed what happened to the Jews, equating it to the “holocaust at Srebrenica” where the victims were all Muslims. Rewriting history is the order of the day as I noted earlier.
Its 2023 so everything has to be a political statement about what is happening now, even when it is remembering events of 78 years ago, the liberation of Auschwitz. And so, on Holocaust Remembrance day we all look back and remember.
Cross dressing artist Grayson Perry graced BBC Radio 4’s flagship “Today” programme this morning and engaged in a wide ranging chat with the sycophantic presenters. If he goes to the Coronation he intends to wear a dress he said. I bet the ranch he is exactly the sort of chap who will be invited by woke King Charles to show the diverse nature of a modern Britain. So what if 99.5% of chaps opt not to dress as birds ( a word now set to be banned so I shall use it more often), it is important to invite as many of the 0.5% as possible to show what Britain really looks like.
