According to the ONS just 2.7% of the UK population is LGBTQIA+. Wildly over-represented in the media, in politics and in academia, if you spend an evening watching the BBC you might have thought that the number was far greater but it is not. In London as a whole the percent is just over 3%, out here in the boonies it is far lower. Things are what they are. But other than casting at least one gay character in almost ever TV drama there are other ways in which activists try to persuade us that thereare far more LGBTQ+ folk than there are, so that there can be more demands for special treatment for a community that is more affluent than the straight community and clearly encountering few glass ceilings these days which is, for the avoidance of doubt, a good thing. Think of gay days.

At last the minute the Mrs had been waiting for. Two kilner jars of plums drowning in vodka were emptied. The vodka was poured into bottles and the Mrs and I each had a glass, with tonic, last night and the taste was superb. Meanwhile I de-pitted the plums and prepared a crumble which was amazing. You could taste the vodka in the plums and I am now using the recipe the Mrs suggests for a crumble, that is to say including some oats. Seriously…I should turn pro… Next week it will be the turn of the rhubarb and ginger vodka to be decanted and for the fruit to be crumbled..
Just as the clocks chimed 13 the Israeli ambassador to London, Tzipi Hotolevy, pulled up at the London School of Economics to give a speech. A rabble of students waving Palestinian flags greeted her. Abuse was hurled at her in volleys like the volleys of rockets fired from others who wave the Palestinian flag in Gaza, targetting not military targets but just trying to kill Jews. Any Jews will do. But for those indoctrinated in one of the Marxist Madrassas that we used to call Universities here in Britain there is only one side in the Middle East that commits evil, that causes global warming, and whose spokesman must be silenced because free speech does not apply to them. I am in many ways abandining tradition with this year’s Christmas pudding making. I did, as usual, make three. One for the big day with my in-laws. One for a second meal when Olaf joins us. And a third just in case, or maybe as a present for someone. But I also abandoned older traditions.
A zebra crossing is black and white so I guess it is multicultural. But guide dogs know what it is and so it saves lives both of blind people and of kids who want to cross the road. But this is 2021. So it is not enough. First there was the LGBT crossing. Okay it was very expensive and totally confused the guide dogs so was a pointless virtue signalling health hazard. But the wider LGBTQ community is only so far up the pyramid, we can do better. and so to Camden Council in London which, as is the wont of such bodies, pays its senior staff mouth watering saleries but bleats endlessly about how front line services are having to be slashed back because of cuts in Government funding made by the evil Tories. As you can see below, Camden does have money for some vital projects…
Well over ten thousand protested at the weekend outside COP26. For folks like the crazed doom goblin, Greta Thunberg, facts do not matter. More must be done to screw the poor with green taxes and wreck Western economies. Sorry I meant to save the planet. For the doom goblin, global warming is the only issue. Before any of those backers of frauds who troll me report me to the Hedgehog or grass snake protection leagues, I did a thorough inspection of our bonfire to ensure no wildlife was resident in it during the afternoon of November 5th. Loose branches have been accumulating for ages but last week I added some junk from the barns and on Friday all the packaging from the stream of Amazon orders made by the Mrs finally came into use.
After the bonfire party here on Friday some of the grown ups tried a shot of my home made Chillie vodka. The father of Joshua’s pal R managed two but he is Polish so it is in his DNA. The rest of us managed only one glass and, boy, did it need tonic as my home grown chillies are uber powerful. I have now started pacakaging up two shot bottles as Christmas presents for my siblings and, ever thirsty, daughter Olaf in remembrance of my father who appreciated a modest drink or two and loved devilishly hot food. Fear not, better presents will also be given but this is for dad.
Sonia Sodha of the Guardian is so desperate to bat for team LGBTQ that she argues that there is a “fertility crisis” which makes it all the more reprehensible that some NHS Trusts are not allowing lesbians to gain access to IVF. No NHS Trust will allow a women who is over 40 to gain access to IVF either which – since women can give birth after 40 – is also discriminatory and makes Sodha’s imaginary “fertility crisis” even worse. Of course as its 1984 and the clocks are striking 13 here in Airstrip One we are not allowed to deal with the truth, the real facts, are we?

Food shortages caused by the burning planet would cause nuclear wars. The Grauniad said that these warnings from experts would force President Bush, a sceptic, to mend his ways and fall into line with the scientofic consensus.
They just think they are better than us. They deserve more pay,longer holidays, bigger pensions, to live by different rules and for us to venerate them. For the political class different rules seem to apply and there are different punishments should they break them. Take the career politician that is Claudia Webbe, a woman found guilty of harassing and stalking another woman, threatening to throw acid over her face and to send nude pictures of her victim to the victim’s kids. What a vile piece of work.

I present the latest Tesco bill for her to see and it is shocking. These are the grim financial realities we dirty plebs face in Britain 2021. And then we see our leaders, and other 1%ers, flying in private jets to Glasgow to lecture us on how we should not take an Easyjet trip to Greece next summer. It is nauseating. COP26 may well be seen as yet another sign of how it is them and us. The murder of Tory MP David Amess was another.
