Tom Winnifrith Bearcast 1st September - Reflecting as I head to the BBC for an expose documentary

On this two anniversary day I chat to another restaurant owner and reflect on why I want to get out of business. Then I look at today;s stockmarket crash-ette ad specfically at Arian Silver wth its dickhead PR and car-crash balance sheet, Jiasen and APR Energy. Tomorrow I start to make my way up to London to film a documentary with the BBC. Okay that is sleeping with the enemy but the end justifies the means.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast 16 June - homage to Chris Bailey

Chris Bailey of Financial Orbit is on my mind for three reasons and I explain why. One of them is APR Energy which I discuss and Chris will post on later. I also look at two China POS stocks, the fraud Sorbic and Auhua Clean Energy. Then at Thor Mining, Trap Oil and Mosman Oil & Gas. Then it is onto the boiler room stocks: Inspirit, Sabien and Flowgroup. Warning: this podcast contains both bad language and also a lot of racist generalisations about folks from Australia and New Zealand with the exception of Kylie Minogue (pictured) who can, of course, do no wrong.

Recorded outside the Kourounis Taverna in Kambos for reasons I explain this podcast starts with Mariana Resources as I try - and fail - to be charitable. I move into Quindell, Tower Resources, Mar City, Gulf Keystone, APR Energy and Afren.

Tom Winnifrith's BearCast for 7 November

I have only just driven across Ireland and arrived at Ballymaloe to record this but there is plenty to discuss in this hard hitting podcast. Oh yes it is very hard hitting indeed. On the agenda: Quindell (end game) and Cenkos (lies), Coms ( a bombshell revealed), Radiant Growth, China frauds and Daniel Stewart, Sefton, APR Energy (political risk generally) and African Minerals (vindication and 0p on the cards). Ouch, its stinging all round.

Guest Share tip: Adnan Siddique Long Term Buy APR Energy

Adnan Siddique used to work with me in the Isle of Man, indeed he was also my lodger. He is now preparing to embark on an MBA (silly boy) but is doing the odd article while he waits to start. He will be an introductory speaker at the UK Investor Show and he is a good man and so I am happy to assist in publicising his work. This piece is on a company that I know absolutely nothing about. Adnan writes:

APR Energy (APR) launched onto the stock market with much fanfare in 2011 promising to be another Aggreko Plc. For those of you unfamiliar with the Aggreko story, if you had invested into the company at the start of 2009 you would now have quadrupled your money. Both these companies operate in the utilities space by providing power generating mobile units to governments, other utility companies and large industrial firms. When power demands spike during a particularly harsh winter or if a storm has knocked out infrastructure, APR mobilises its power-fleet from several regional hubs to plug into the local grid. As you can imagine, most clients are in developing countries – 70% in fact.

There are three great reasons to buy APR:
