If one listens to the political and media classes there have now been five days of non-stop coverage of Islamophobia which, we are told, is the big issue we must deal with. Of course, it is wrong and must be condemned but here are a few statistics for you to ponder. Let us start with anti-semitic incidents recorded in the wake of the October 7 pogrom.

Baroness Warsi is an unelected Tory politician with a track record of dodgy business dealings who says the most appalling things to gain publicity. Today she has announced that she is leaving the "Leave" campaign on Brexit and joining "Remain" because of all the racism, xenophobia and bigotry of folks like Priti Patel and Gisela Stuart. The BBC laps it up as a major blow for Brexit. The only problem is that the silly cow Warsi never actually joined the Leave campaign.

Baroness Warsi has quit the Government so she can make more outrageous remarks about Israel. Good riddance. As someone married to a talented and hard-working Asian female who has been promoted solely on merit and not stolen taxpayers cash I have nothing but contempt for this hideous creature who has risen up the greasy pile thanks to nothing other than Call Me Dave’s desire to “reach out”
In 2012 she was cleared of fiddling her expenses. She had claimed cash for staying in a house when she did not actually pay any rent. Er… so that is okay then if you’re a politician. I call it stealing cash from the taxpayer. She should have been out on her ear then.
As for Israel, I bring you this Warsi quote from 2006. How 100% wrong can anyone be?
I think what's happened in the Middle East with the election of Hamas is actually an opportunity

I saw an advert for Christmas goods yesterday – that is 1st September. It strikes me that Christmas is still rather a long way away. Do I win a prize for the earliest Christmas spot of the year? Or did someone pick up on something in August?
Meanwhile I see that the gap left by the imminent retirement of Louise Mensch MP for the “thickest Tory politician” is rapidly being filled by Tory Party chairwoman Baroness Warsi. I do not know much about this frightful creature and what she has ever done outside politics apart from the fact that she plays the professional Northerner. From what I can see she has not really been a great party chairperson and is now pleading to keep her job because she can “reach out to women, ethnic minorities and Northerners” and so help Call Me Dave with the next election.

I do not care who paid for Baroness Warsi’s various jollies abroad. I would not pay to go to a backwards kleptocracy like Saudi Arabia so I can sympathise with her not wishing to cough up for her fare to Riyadh. And so what if her business partner was once a member of some Islamofascist grouping of nutters. That is, in my view, no reflection on the chairwoman of the Conservative party. But…
