Ms. Lavington is quoted in the ghastly Mail on Sunday as saying “Our share price is the same as when we turned over £1 million – except now we’re turning over £40 million. It’s frustrating.”. Where to start? It must be rather worrying for those still owning these shares that she has such an appalling grasp of how markets work. It is enough to turn a man to drink.

If you are coming to Sharestock and have yet to email me please read this article HERE. In today’s podcast I discuss UK property prices, buy to let, bull in the Mail and, en passant, the micro market of Kalamata – I am thinking I might have to sell up. Maybe not but I explain.

The Mail on Sunday’s Jeff Prestridge has a scoop. There is a class action being launched against Hargreaves Lansdown (HL) for telling customers to buy Woodford funds when it was already aware that there were problems so bad that its own funds of funds were selling Woodford units. Good news. All those who stuffed folks into Woodfgord and ignored warnings that we started flagging up in 2015 should be held accountable. So who else was a massive Woodford supporter from 2015 until the funds were gated in 2019, even saying there was nothing to worry about the day BEFORE the gating? Er…

Yesterday I discussed how Ironveld Resources (IRON) via its PR man Tim Blythe of BlytheRay ands the awful Mail on Sunday was smearing Richard Jennings but ignoring the real issue which were breaches of AIM Rule 10 and 11. But what is sauce for the goose… I today read to you a string of remarks made by Giles Clarke, Ironveld’s chairman in WhatsApp messages now in my posession. After yesterday’s indignation perhaps Mr Clarke wants to consider his position. Then onto Abingdon Health (ABDX), liquidity drying up and what it can mean, Parsley Box (MEAL) and musicMagpie (MMAG). I also discuss Wishbone Gold (WSBN) urging a note of caution on “nearology.”

In this podcast, I discuss a double dose of suffering – but not that which I promised – and beg you to donate to Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks, HERE. I also discuss two companies where something stinks badly: HUI International (HUI) and Audioboom(BOOM). And, yes, I have seen the story in the loathsome Mail on Sunday. It stinks, too!

Apparently, the chap from the FT may object to me reminding those at the April 5 Woodford event that his paper, like the wretched Mail on Sunday, Daily Mail, Sunday Times et al DID suck Woodford’s PR cock. Elsewhere, I discuss Red Rock Resources (RRR); Skibiotherapeutics (SBTX); Amigo (AMGO); Avacta (AVCT); Inspirit (INSP); and Mirriad Advertising (MIRI).

The IPO of Oxford Cannabinoid (OCTP), pumped by the tawdry Mail on Sunday on the, false, supposition that Mr Snoop Doggy Dog was an active investor, was – as I predicted an overvalued POS and those backing it have, in eight months, already lost half their money. This week it admitted to delays in work on its two lead compounds, not that, even before, either would – if they worked – hit markets till 2027. Its founder chairman will soon step down after a share dealing scandal but is already in Thailand “finding himself”. But it gets worse.

I start with Mr Moulding who must be a decent chap as he gives vast sums to that beacon of integrity that is the Conservative & Unionist party. I discuss today’s horrible statement from THG (THG).The incident should also see firings at the Mail on Sunday and Sunday Times but it will not. I look at Omega Diagnostics (ODX) as it rushes towards a single figure share price and at Guild e-Sports (GILD), still a joke, notwithstanding today’s statement. Finally i look at the Sound Energy (SOU) bids for Lord Lucan’s Angus Energy (ANGS) Will Lucan get any more lucky?

Remember, I read the ghastly Mail on Sunday so that you do not have to. I discuss its latest campaign backed by Primary Bid and the chancers of Bristol, Hargreaves Lansdown. It is fag end of a bull market nonsense.

The soon to be ex wife of Michel Gove, Sarah Vine, is – for reasons I have never been able to fathom – paid vast sums to serve up a weekly diet of complete bilge in the Mail on Sunday. If Mr Gove is looking for an excuse for his historic drug use, I’d suggest that having his Mrs read her column to him each week is one that would gain the sympathy of many. Today, Vine deals with Thatcher, coal and global warming prompted by Boris Johnson telling an unfunny and factually inaccurate joke last week.

For 20 years Jeff PressTrip built his name at the Mail on Sunday with his exclusive chats and scoops from Neil Woodford. The quid pro quo was that he blew the man off in print once a fortnight and he ensured that Mail on Sunday Readers ALL owned shares in the doomed Woodford funds. Even a day before Equity Income was gated the Mail on Sunday urged its readers to show faith. But the corrupt old bastard (PressTrip not Woodford) wishes us to forget that and today again rails against his ex-mate saying how disgraceful is his planned comeback.

I start with ShareSoc backing an investor action group at bust mini bond outfit Wellseley. I warned folks explicity about this almost two years ago HERE and many times thereafter so have scant sympathy. I discuss the role of the floor shitters at the FCA in this debacle. That brings me to Supply@ME Capital (SYME) after today’s dynamite expose HERE. The email is genuine. I ask what next? Finally I discuss comments by populists seeking cheap love, such as shamed Neil Woodford promoter Jeff PressTrip of the Mail on Sunday and Nigel Farage, about GameStop. Do they both really support bubbles and capital misallocation?

All this needs now is for Harriet Dennys of the Mail on Sunday to claim that this company has a £6 million war chest (It does not) and Pineappple Power (PNPL) will show everything that is wrong about UK smaller companies markets, especially the FCA regulated, no sniggering at the back, Standard List. Let’s start at the beginning.

Shares in Ms Willingham’‘s AIM listed Nightcap (NGHT) are the 3rd biggest riser on the Casino today, up 26% at 17p on the back of an article in the Mail on Sunday by Ms Harriet Dennys which, as I poingted out yesterday, is totgal bollocks and a deceipt. It quotes Ms Willingham and the question is has she told a monstrous lie. or is Ms Dennys just making things up? With the shares roofing it I have written to the Oxymorons at AIM Regulation as the company needs to comment urgently. This is a false market.

I start with the question of who should pay for lockdown via taxes or inflation. Then it is onto an article by Harriet Dennys in the Mail on Sunday on NightCap (NGHT), the AIM baby of Sarah Willingham of Dragon’s Den which could go bust by July. The article is so bad, so full of massive factual errors and so utterly misleading that it is easily the worst piece of financial journalism I’ve seen so far this year. And that includes articles by Zak Mir. Seriously, writing this sort of bollocks does have consequences.
1425 days ago
I discuss both the article which you can see below which really is the worst piece of financial journalism seen this year. It does bring me to why celebrity endorsed investments are so often utter stinkers, looking back at those backed by David Beckham, Fergie, Linney himself, Fergie and at the NightCap AIM IPO driven by ghastly Sarah Willingham with no conflicts of interest at all!

Yes it is corrupt to claim that with 60 articles a year you are chasing Neil Woodford when you were for two decades his greatest cheerleader on Fleet Street. Jess Press-trip ignored ALL the warnings and kept on urging Mail on Sunday readers to average down on Woodford funds. He should hold his head in shame. He demands transparency over Woodford, I demand transparency from him so have 4 questions the loathsome reptile will not answer. I also look at bent PR led journalism at the Sunday Times ref BT (BT.) Then it is onto Reach4Entertainment (R4E) where the FCA and AIM Regulation should be all over the company, its CEO Marc Boyan and chairman Lord Grade.

On the occassion of my father’s 82nd Birthday i ponder how miserrable life must be for him today. I urge you to hold your nose and go online to the Mail on Sunday just to read Peter Hitchens today. His column is golden prose, a joy to read. we agree on the coronavirus and the Government’s appalling response. Luke Johnson is in the same camp and I quote from his Sunday Times column reflecting on where my animal spirit sits as a consumer, an investor and an entrepreneur. Where, I ask, do you sit dear listeners? I sense, in many cases they have been crushed and thus what lies ahead is a recession of the sort few of us have ever seen before.

First things first. It is 6 months and 1 day to the 3 Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks walk. I did a short train yesterday at Moel Famau of which more later. Anhow, if you enjoy bearcast please show so by donating HERE. Thanks in advance for your support and also for the birthday wishes. As you can see in the comments section HERE there is a poster on ADVFN who seems to think he can save Versarien (VRS) by suggesting, falsely, that I am a paedophile. Normally I’d ignore such pond life but I am almost tempted to teach him a very expensive legal lesson in libel law. What do you think? Then it is onto a story dictated by NMC Health’s (NMC) PR team to yellow journalists at the Mail on Sunday. The real import of threats against Caron Block & Muddy Waters is very negative for NMC. Finally I have a bombshell for AIM Cesspit followers tomorrow. Watch this space!

In today’s bearcast I reflect on the start of Advent which I miss in Wales and on its start here in Kambos Greece. I look at pay at the big accountants and what it says about the sanctions against such folk when they screw up. Then it is onto Neil Woodford’s biggest cheerleader in the press until recently, Jeff Prestridge of the Mail on Sunday and his demands for action against the guilty parties in this scandal. Jeff misses out two of the guilty parties and misses the point on the rest.

Neil Woodford, Britain’s best known fund manager has seen his empire start to crash and crumble today with a suspension of dealings in his flagship fund. Some in the corrupt deadwood press, like the Mail on Sunday, were still praising Woodford yesterday. Others have turned bearish over the past few months having previoously drunk the cool aid. But for almost two years we have been calling this out as a debacle waiting to happen, you can see our full, and incredibly detailed, coverage HERE. Site Editor Tom Winnifrith gave a keynote address at UK Investor 2018 predicting exactly what would happen and highlighting numerous red flags. You may remember that Mail on Sunday hack Jamie Nimmo is a liar. Mr Limp Dick claimed to have “revealed” a scoop which in fact I had actually revealed 20 days earlier. Now he is telling porkies with his latest “scoop” on PCGE with the story “City firm quits as adviser to PCG Entertainment over bond probe”. Oh dear Jamie you are a sad man. Why do you have such a problem with the truth?

Then it is onto someone who has given £50 to Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks. Get in touch you POS and I shall refund you personally as you lie in bed with fraudsters and other scum. Perhaps in 20 days time limp dick sad excuse for a journalist, the liar, Jamie Nimmo of the Mail On Sunday will report on this development at Argo Blockchain (ARB) and tell his dwindling readership that “he can reveal”. I can reveal the board has been given the option of buying the underlying crypto business for just £1.

I staert with a few thoughts on Eazster and on the hollow words from our wretched Prime Minister Theresa May on protecting Christians who are under attack. I then have a few more words on lying Mail on Sunday journalist limp dick Jamie Nimmo. Finally with a hat tip to Jamie’s paper for breaking another mini bond scandal, MJS Capital, I discuss shamed Lord Razzall and the idea of what a high yield really tells you on a bond, a share or a house. On this day of gioving please make a donation to Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks. 90% of those who listen almost every day to this podcast are yet to chip in, please correct that HERE!

I have noted before the way that stars of the deadwood press all too often run material which first appeared on ShareProphets, claiming that it is their scoop. Today’s proven liar who shames our noble profession is Jamie Nimmo of the Mail on Sunday who claims to “reveal” that heroin dealer Frank Timis owns 14% of Argo Blockchain (ARB). You can see hios “scoop” below. There is only one problem with Nimmo’s fantasy of breaking a story….

I start with the utterly shite journalism of Jeff Presstrip in the Mail on Sunday which disgraces our profession as I explain HERE. Then it is onto Neil Woodford and two issues. First why HL just cannot tell its dumb clients to sell and, secondly, why the yield on the flasgship EIF will plunge from 4.1% today to something starting with a 2 within a year, if the fund still exists. That is by no means a given. If you enjoyed this bearcast, follow Jim Mellon and support the Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks HERE.

The Mail on Sunday and its freebie loving Personal Finance Editor Jeff Prestridge are promoting a new innovative company in telematics and insurance where the virtue signalling crisp salesman Gary Lineker is a brand ambassador and shareholder. Among Ticker’s named clients is Ingenie.. hang on does that ring a bell?

I start with news of a washing panic at the Greek Hovel. Then I look at why the mainstream financial press are part of the problem not the solution to stockmarket over-promotes and indeed outright criminality. In the podcast I look specifically at The Times on Neil Woodford and at The Sunday Times on Hollywood Bowl (BOWL) and Midas in the Mail on Sunday on the IPO of AJ Bell (AJB)

You could not make it up. Another week. Another Neil Woodford share support operation in the Mail on Sunday. I look at Woodford and wider issues he faces at The Times and Sunday Times and their shameful role in the MySquar (MYSQ) fraud and at Purplebricks (PURP) and the fundamental weakness in its business proposition that will ultimately sink it.
2205 days ago
Over the past two years one salient feature of the Neil Woodford car crash is that every couple of months the Daily Mail or Mail on Sunday, which were the biggest cheer-leaders for Nomates when he set up Woodford Investment Management, runs an article saying “it’s bad but will get better, average down.” The trouble is that the Mail thesis is based on one big lie. At the weekend it was veteran Personal Finance hack Jeff Prestridge who landed an exclusive interview, i.e a blow job for Neil.

Amazed to find that one of her share tips had actually gone up, Jo Hart of the Midas column In the mail on Sunday advised the poor saps who follow her to top slice or sell Optibiotix (OPTI) on Sunday. Just as a buy note from Ms Hart is seen by most folks as a sure sign that a PR puff campaign is underway and that you should sell at once, the Midas sell stance seems to have pushed the shares ever higher as the chart below demonstrates. Yes £1 hit again, another case of ouzo Cynical Bear needs to send me. I discussed why I’d not be selling at this price as I expect fireworks soon HERE. Meanwhile…

On my 24 mile walk with Lucian - a bit of a disaster as the last five miles were unplanned and very painful as described here - we discussed Tesla, Tern and the stockmarket bubble. Neil Woodford's fund management group has spent vast sums advertising its products in the financial press and has received vast amounts of slavishly positive comment in the same publications. These two facts are, of course, in no way related. And so after Woodford said sorry, in a terribly unconvincing manner, for having done so badly over the past year how does the Mail on Sunday's Alex Sebastian, himself a unit holder, spin this? With fake news natch

The last time I felt under attack from Sir Vince Cable was when he called on the FCA to deal with myself and fellow critics of that Great British company Quindell (QPP). As, even Sir Vince now knows, Quindell was the UK's biggest stockmarket fraud for 30 years, the regulators have thanked me for my work exposing it but Sir Vince worked hard with Lord Peter Hain of sleaze and others to get me sent to jail for market abuse. To the man who has predicted 17 of the last 4 recessions I say thank you once again for your efforts. Now he calls folks like me, hardline brexiteers, "jihadis" in an article in the Mail on Sunday which, even by the standards of that paper, is lie filled fiction.

The story is not really that shocking. After smoking about 180 fags a day for sixty years Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood got lung cancer but had the lump cut out and is now okay. Move on. But it is worth reading any story in the quite dreadful Mail on Sunday and its sister title The Daily Mail for the comments that follow. This is a classic.

And you wonder why fewer and fewer folks trust a word they read in the deadwood press, especially the loathsome Daily Mail. It is only one week since I picked it up HERE on its 100% fake ISIS news from Syria. Now it is making things up again and once more it appears to be at the behest of Tory Central Office. The headline screams " Tory lead is slashed in half after tax U-turn: Bombshell Mail on Sunday poll shows May plummeting by 11 points ...denting hopes of a landslide." Bollocks.

The Mail on Sunday is such a truly vile publication that as a service to this website, I read it so that you do not have to, just in case it contains anything of interest. This week amid the usual nonsense about how immigrants give you cancer and a scoop about loathsome crook Keith Vaz MP playing away from his Mrs with a couple of Polish rentboys, the paper covers ramp de jour Cloudtag (CTAG). Needless to say the coverage is shocking.
The weekly small cap round up is penned by Ian Lyall of Proactive Investors, a company which earns its money taking money from small caps to help them ramp their shares. As such this column does not go big on investigative fraud busting or hard hitting analysis. It mght as well be written by Justin the Clown or Zak Mir so packed is it with sacharine piffle.
And so we come to Cloudtag where Lyall notes:

In today's Mail on Sunday journalist Simon Walters produced what, he terms, a "candid" exclusive interview with Dodgy Dave Cameron in which lyin' Dave says absolutelty nothing new at all. But it is the front page splash from Mr Walters that shames his paper and shows that a panicking Remain Campaign will stoop to anything. The Mail claims Vote Leave has been "infiltrated" by Nazis.
Infiltration has a clear meaning in British politics. It means gaining membership in an organised and covert manner with a view to securing power. The Militant Tendency infiltrated Labour. On the other hand the Mail has manged to provide evidence that exactly seven nazis are handing out flyers for Vote Leave. it tops this up with a few quotes from a racist online chat room from Nazis who support Brexit.
I do not doubt for a second that the seven folk mentioned are loathsome racist and jew hating pigs. They are scum but to say that them handing out flyers, not setting policy, organising a campaign or anything close to having any power, just handing out leaflets is evidence of infiltration is laughable.
Vote Leave like Remain

In today's podcast I look forward to results from Slater & Gordon (SGH) at around midnight Sunday. I explain how goodwill writedowns, bank provisioning and other matters work ahead of what will be an ouzo, beer, popcorn and coke evening of joy for me. Then it is onto explaining why the MIDAS column in the Mail on Sunday penned by the silly bint Jo Hart is talking shite on Aureus Mining (AUE). You would have thought by now that Jo would have grasped the basics of how DCF models work. It seems not. Then I end on Mervyn King's warnings of a new bank crisis. I think he may be right.

The share tips of the year from Joanne Hart in the Mail on Sunday Midas column are interesting. Right on Comrades. I look at Petropavlovsk (POG) and the idea of buying shares for the bid. I move onto a new biotech IPO, Levrett. I explain why its a bargepole but also how the coverage of this in the Mail on Sunday (Simon Watkins) shows again the corrupt nexus between certain financial journalists and the PR world with an aim to dupe you, the investor. The Mail on Sunday carries a horrific story about a 78 year old man who has seen his life savings disappear thanks to WH Ireland (WHI) the AIM listed stockbroker. Reading this I conclude that only a total lunatic would entrust WH Ireland with his or her cash. With the stockmarket now clearly in bear territory WH Ireland would be unlikely to prosper even without this scandal and at 125p the shares are a stonking sell – second only in this sector to those of the POS Daniel Stewart (DAN).

I am horrified to see today’s Mail on Sunday spout complete lies about Greece. It saddens me that this paper pays folks like Liz Jones to write sensationalist crap.
We were both (apparently) at the same mass rally in Syntagma Square on Friday. I encountered nothing but calm and peace and a duck among the 50,000 crowd. I did not feel threatened for a second. Liz Jones reports Police firing stun grenades and seems to have got into a bit of a state. There might be the odd hothead everywhere but the Oxi rally was call, determined and dignified.
Liz reports that the Oxi camp want to turn their backs on the Euro and EU. I wish. The Oxi camp want to say in the Euro but believe they can do that without austerity and with debt relief. I do not think Liz has been listening to anyone here.
Liz and her colleagues report that shops are running out of food. Sorry but, overwhelmingly, that is not true. That PM Alex Tspiras
