Malcolm Stacey and the rest of the green brigade got terribly excited last Thursday when Ceres Power (CWR) announced a big new deal with Delta Electronics “Praise be to Saint Greta, His Holiness Lord Attenborough and blessed King Charles, we are all going to be rich!” screamed the senior writer on this website. Just six days later comes a shock warning and the shares are tumbling. Malcolm will be writing a letter of complaint to the Guardian shortly.

I start on the Yemen and why Malcolm is almost sackably wrong on all counts, I look at oil prices and what is really driving them ( hint, look at Darren’s photo from his window today) and at gold prices and a few gold stocks I own including Kefi Gold & Copper (KEFI), Ariana (AAU) and my biggest holding, Amaroq (AMRQ)

217 former workers at Milne will not really be bothered as to why their employer has gone bust. They start the New Year in the corrupt Greece of the North, the socialist wannabee republic of Scotland looking for a new job. Is this a sign of worse to come in the housebuilding sector, so beloved of my colleague Malcolm Stacey?

At no-one is watching O’clock last night, what my friend Comrade Stacey termed a “jolly green giant” in one of his numerous articles loving up Ceres Power (CWR), served up yet another lack of revenues warning. Shares in this company were £13.36 on April Fool’s day 2021. They are now just 161p off another 14% today. Ouch

As a stalwart member of his chapel, my son Joshua is very much a traditionalist when it comes to Advent calendars. Last year there were howls of protest when the Mrs got one from the chapel which turned out to be loaded with chocolate. And thus I have returned to the company recommended by my old pal Malcolm Stacey, HERE

Another set of results comes out from the sheep shagging chip makers at IQE (IQE) and as usual the numbers are piss poor, more cash has been burned and there is warning about current trading. The shares are just 16.4p, having been 174p just under six years ago when folks like Paul Scott and our own Malcolm Stacey were frothing so excitedly about them as I warned and warned again.

I am sorry to sound a bit like a football yob but West Ham’s storming start to the season brings out the worst in me. Especially when Malcolm’s oft loved up Blackbird (BIRD) has just served up such utterly piss poor interims. As ever with this “licensor, developer and seller of the market-leading cloud video editing platform” it is all jam tomorrow but cold cabbage water today. If Blackbird is the market leader God only knows how its less “successful” competitors survive.

Pod Point (PODP) helps folks with electric cars charge up their motors. It is exactly the sort of green shite that Malcolm Stacey would be all over but today the CEO and company founder Erik Fairbairn has walked with immediate effect. The explanation given just does not stack up.

For almost two years my old friend Malcolm Stacey has been recommending that you buy shares in Blackbird (BIRD). Back in May 2021 the shares were c35p. Today – after more bad news – they are 7p. I warned explicitly HERE that Malcolm should walk away, I still think that he should.

I start with bad weather news from Wrexham, then consider international workers day and how experts change their minds. Then onto Malcolm’s three top picks outlined earlier. I dismiss two but the third really might be a winner. What am I missing regarding City of London Investment Group (CLIG)?

I start with Malcom Stacey’s latest bout of insanity HERE. Then it is onto woke nonsense and boardroom quotas at Colin Bird’s African Pioneer (AFP), the great news from Fox Marble (FOX) and my thoughts, such as they are on Deutsche Bank buying Numis (NUM) for £410 million. Finally, tomorrow sees me back on a training walk for Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks. To the 95% of you yet to donate, how about you hand over a tenner ( or more) HERE.

For years supporters of IQE (IQE) such as thirsty Paul Scott and our own Malcolm Stacey argued that it was a tech play and this justified fancy doo-dah valuations. I argued that it was simply a manufacturer operating in a cyclical commodity space and a not very good one at that. Today comes another dire lack of profits warning which will be enough to turn the bulls to drink and is a good reason for this sober bear to enjoy a small ouzo tonight.

Having wrongly called the stockmarket as a bear, Malcolm is again an uber bull as the Footsie hits record highs, today telling us that Warren Buffett has got it all wrong. Malcolm seems to be driven by FOMO and I explain all sorts of reasons why you might not want to bet the ranch on his call.

I refer at the end to a podcast on the Northern Ireland census I recorded today. Honestly it is more interesting than it sounds and is HERE. I start with Malcolm’s failed career as a bear and where blue chips and small caps go from here. Then onto our bombshell on Caracal (GCAT) today HERE and all the other red flags and why it matters that the FCA acts on this one.

Oh dear, oh dear, more bad news from the green pipedreams, slurp the jam tomorrow and forget about the bonkers valuation sector. Today it is Ceres Power (CWR) an AIM listed company repeatedly recommended by our own in-house Guardian reading eco-Warrior Malcolm Stacey but red flagged by myself and Peter Brailey. Its shares are down by 65% year to date and by c80% since February 2021, the peak of the green bubble madness.

Comrade Malcolm Stacey is yakking on about buying green shite shares again today. I explain why he is wrong at four levels to do so. I reference an article I wrote today HERE on floods in Pakistan and a few years ago on droughts in Zim South, specifically Cape Town. On Global warming do not acccept what the MSM, especially Malcolm’s pals at the BBC tell you, drill down to the core facts… Today’s episode shows again that there is no “house view” on this website
752 days ago
Sometimes I switch off my PC thinking that was not a very good podcast. Most days I am content but today is one of those days when I think “that was a bloody good podcast” I start of with why this website is not free and how you need to change business models if the world changes and then as to the strange idea that we have a “house view” on any given stock. That is with reference to ITM Power (ITM) which I then cover in detail (more ouzo for me and for Peter Brailey, cold cabbage water for comrade Malcolm Stacey of the 6th Guardianista peaceand flower power corps). I also look in detail at the spoof from Advanced Oncotherapy (AVO), Deepverge (DVRG) en passant, but which is covered in more detail HERE, and Bidstack (BIDS) after my bombshell expose c/o Winnileaks earlier. A good day’s work. Now I can go and weed my onion patch in peace.
The title is self explanatory on all counts. I discuss Purplebricks (PURP), the housebuilders where comrade Malcolm Stacey is very wrong, Mothercare (MTC) maternity bras and a 0p endgame, Deepverge (DVRG) and finally Argo Blockchain (ARB) which needs to come clean NOW.

Oh dear, Oh dear, it is ouzo for myself but tears before bedtime for comrade Malcolm Stacey as Gear4Music (G4M) has issued yet another profits warning. That it does not update us on its cash (or lack of it) position should set the alarm bells ringing.

I start with a few words on the logistics for Sharestock, the supper with my family and Wednesday’s deadline for booking HERE. Then on why Avacta (AVCT) shares will collapse at any time, on retail-aggeddon and then onto the Malcolm Stacey view that we should all be in cash. I disagree witn the old Guardian reading loon.
I start with gardening news and a bit sbout ShareStock 2022 and 2023 and urge prompt ticket booking for the former HERE. Why Victoria (VCP) is a zero in waiting is a matter for Sharestock but today I look at why Cineworld (CINE) has not collapsed yet but why it will. Then there is Advanced Oncotherapy (AVO) and why it MUST end in tears whatever PL says. Finally I comment on the lunacy of Malcolm Stacey. I think he meant to send today’s column to the Guardian letters page, it is insanity writ large.

I am afraid that events have conspired to deprive us of Malcolm’s words of wisdom for a third day. I start with the weekend: a pointless covid test, Jaya’s christening and a possible road trip to Greece. Then, I discuss Malcolm Stacey’s Damascene Conversion to the bear cause, which makes me think that I should become a bull.

Ahead of my trip to Southampton, I discuss today’s hilarious FinnCrap note on its client, Argo Blockchain (ARB) and Novacyt (NCYT), which is now worth less than net cash. I explain why. Then, it is onto Zoo Digital (ZOO): was the old codger, Malcolm Stacey, right to be so bullish? Er… no.
I start with the fate of PM BlowJo. He is toast, but it does not matter: nothing will change, whoever fills his shoes. Then, it is onto Tesco ditching Whiskas. Our cats are already on Tesco’s own brand, supplemented by the local wildlife – but what does this say about inflation and corporate earnings? After that, I discuss Malcolm Stacey, and why he is so wrong on Zoo Digital (ZOO). Finally, I look at Cineworld (CINE) and AO World (AO.). The former stays silent on the big issue, and is a 2022 zero. The latter has 21 months until the Fat Lady’s performance, notwithstanding today’s fundraise.

The big institutions all barreled in to ProCook (PROC), since they knew better than Old Tom Winnifrith, despite his explicit warnings why this would end in tears. So, too, did Primary Bid, which was a keen supporter – as was our own Malcolm Stacey. What was he thinking? But, just seven months after the IPO comes a disastrous profits warning, and the shares have collapsed. While Malcolm drowns his sorrows with an extra pint of Old Mother’ Green’s organic ale, it is ouzo time at the Welsh Hovel. But do the founding O’Neill family, who flogged tens of millions worth of shares to dumb IIs, really care?

Recent experiences proved too much for the old boy, who, on his return to Blighty, headed off to the Punter’s Return. I am off on my annual quest to find the magic money tree which I know exists and can solve all of the world’s problems. Just harvest the tree and Government debt will disappear. Then harvest it again and the government can give more money to everyone to help them deal with inflation. It is so simple. I just can’t see why Uncle Tom and other wicked Tories just don’t get it.

I warned comrade Malcolm Stacey and you all that his March 7 enthusiasm for advertising group Mirriad (MIRI) was misplaced and dire results with a piss poor set of excuses vindicate this perma bear once again. My first big training walk is described (with photos) HERE and you can make that donation HERE. Then it is onto JubileeMetals and 2 reasons why I expect the shares to head to 25p very soon. Finally, you may have noticed Malcolm Stacey’s absence. I explain all. I don’t think I am being unreasonable.

I record looking up at the mountains behind the Greek Hovel. Why on earth are we heading back to Wales? I shall miss this place badly. Then, onto Netflix. I start with good news concerning my mother-in-law, which suggests my current living – where folks pay £5.99 a month to hurl abuse at me – is maybe not such a desirable career. Then onto Kefi Gold & Copper (KEFI), and what I have told ‘arry Bloody Adams should happen next, in light of his latest e-mail to me. Then onto Vast Resources (VAST) and Eden Research (EDEN), not Pharma as I misspoke in the podcast. Finally, Gear4Music (G4M), which is enough to turn fanboys Paul Scott and Malcolm Stacey to drink. Vindicated yet again as a bear, I warn of worse to come, following today’s bullshit-heavy trading statement.

The new CEO of IQE (IQE),the chipmaker that seduced both Malcolm Stacey and thirsty Paul Scott, starts his reign where the old one left off as dismal calendar 2021 results are posted today. It is all bullshit. Will this company ever generate cash?

I discuss all the things that tell me that we really are at the fag end of a bull market. Folks are exhausted by the endless placings,by the lies and the culture of accepting wrong doing. I disagree with comrade Malcolm Stacey, seeing no reason for a Santa Rally next week.

Some years ago I lamented how,in every store and on Amazaon, all Advent calendars seemed to involve masturbating snowmen or daft faux Victorian scenes and, inevitably, came backed by chocolates, alcohol or different flavoured condoms. I just wanted a normal calendar showing a nativity scene. Advent is, after all,a celebration of the coming (hence the name) of Christ.

There are a few things that I disagree with Comrade Malcom Stacey about: all this green shite from COP26 for starters. Just how great meat tastes is another. And whether the Guardian newspaper has any useful purpose other than to light a fire is a third. A fourth is Feedback (FDBK) which he keeps tipping and which I regard as a cash guzzling, jam tomorrow generating, worthless piece of crap which serves only to enrich City financiers and has two decades of failure to boast about. So today we have (dire) results and a £10.5 million or more fund raise. A bookbuild is underway.

Then I discuss the lorry driver and cabbage picker crisis with a joke at Jim’s expense and also what is the obvious solution.

I would never fire Malcolm or indeed any writer here for what they write (within reason). This website believes in free speech so folks can say what they think even if it involves a brutal attack on a company in which I own shares. Tomorrow sees a 23 mile training walk. It is nothing to do with the fact that the mother-in-law has just arrived but a recognition that Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks and that 34 miles is now just 5 weeks away. Think of the pain tomorrow and please donate HERE – we are now at just under £14,000 please to give what you can afford. In the podcast I look at the green madness of Malcolm Stacey, Boris Johnson and creepy Joe Biden and why I do not believe in any of it how I shall make money from it. Then I discuss the scam, I exposed today, of claiming that a dual OTC listing will push share prices higher: it will not!

I end with a few notes on Woodlarks. There are now 7 walkers confirmed – please do make a donation HERE. Then I discuss 2 acid tests today for the FCA: Supply@ME Capital (SYME) and Lyin’ Chris Cleverly’s planned RTO into Stranger Holdings (STHP). Then I look at St James House (SJH) and wonder if the taxman needs to have a butcher’s at 4 of its disposals involving John Botros. Then it is onto IQE (IQE) and why Malcolm Stacey and thirsty Paul Scott are wrong. Finally a look at Jubilee Metals (JLP). Then I discuss the matter with the world’s leading analyst of PGM stocks beginning with J for his input.

I start with the issue of how we all delude ourselves about how bad bad news can be. My case study is Octagonal (OCT) and the scale of any likely punishment by the SEC. Then should we all jump on board Malcolm Stacey’s green shite bandwagon and abandon any “dirty” old world plays? You see it is not as simple as the old guy claims. Do you remember when he was telling us all to buy Radio stocks back in 1927?

I start with a baby Priti update and also a story about my Dad. Then a look at the supermarkets and £1.9 billion of our cash they should not have. Finally I note Malcolm’s optimism on vaccines and a return to normal and I explain why I think the old boy is, as is his wont, far too optimistic.

I refer to Malcolm Stacey’s earlier piece and take him to task, although I discuss the regional housing shifts he mentions in a more charitable light. I look at the new IPSX Exchange and suggest it has a problem. Then I respond to PL’s charge that I support unethical capitalism involving screwing everyone to make maximum profits. I don’t think this and I don’t think it makes any sense but that does not mean that tree-hugging capitalism makes any sense either, except for Sandra Bates and other members of the 1%.

A week ago, Malcolm Stacey could have sold his shares in Avacta (AVCT) at more than 200p each. In fact I think the old trading genius might just have done that. Then the company started “sounding out” investors about a fund raise and, not that anyone in London ever breaks insider dealing laws so this is a total coincidence, the shares started tumbling fast. As I write they are off by 5p at 132-5p as it has announced am up to £45 million fund raise at 120p. I don’t blame it.

Someone has gone to some trouble compiling this rather long video of Show Me The Money, the daytime programme of the year 2001. I am asked if it brings back happy memories? Nightmares more like. Thirsty Paul Scott and his boss Ed Croft at Stockopaedophile do not like me. Maybe that explains Paul's very sad attack on Optibiotix (OPTI) yesterday which was strewn with factual errors and poor analysis. Clearly Paul is not a well man and we should pray for him. Elsewhere I look at Sabien (SNT), its knob head boss, dodgy share dealing, the cash crisis and why it is fecked. I cover Cabot (CAB), Wandisco (WAND) and then take a look at Motif Bio (MTFB) - a share tip from Malcolm Stacey where, I have told him, you all deserve an update - and a related party Amphion (AMP), which looks pretty fecked too.

There were numerous entries to this caption contest as you can see HERE although once again our in-house BB loon Wildes got overly excited looking at pictures of the crazy cat lady Carole Cadwalladr and thus served up a number of utterly non relevant observations. There can only be one winner of the semi naked photo of Britain’s top share blogger (mornings only), thirsty Paul Scott and it is…not Wildes. Instead the victorious caption for the photo below is:

Malcolm wrote a piece today on Brexit and shares. Quite simply he is talking unmitigated bollocks and I explain why.

For some reason the old boy has not been banging on about the Santa stockmarket Rally quite as much this year as usual. In that vein, for the chance to win a semi naked photo of Britain's top share blogger (mornings only) thirsty Paul Scott, please supply suitable captions for the picture below in the comments section. The deadline for entries is midnight Sunday... do your worst.

I wonder if this reader is Malcolm Stacey in disguise? He seems a terribly optimistic fellow dismissing all my bear points made in today's bonus bearcast. Calling himself "KeepingTWhonest" he opines:
2193 days ago
This bearcast is prompted partly by news Purplebricks (PURP) is not telling you about and partly by Malcolm's buy note on Bovis (BVS) earlier and partly on some new housing data out yesterday. Suffice to say Purplebricks is in ever deeper merde, Malcolm Stacey is wrong and there really could be a big fall in UK house prices and volumes and it is just partly linked to Brexit. It is a pin and we know there is a bubble.

I start by referring you to a video just up of my labour of love, the Greek Hovel, which you can see HERE. Then I take apart the bullish nonsense about the stockmarket Malcolm Stacey served up yesterday HERE. Finally I look at IPOs planned for the next few weeks such as that of Sam Smith's FinnCrap and broker AJ Bell. Why oh why go now? Surely they are both either mad or desperate? I discuss in detail why both should be avoided like the plague, referring also to the Funding Circle IPO debacle.

I start with reflections on a rather plump young lady not wearing a bra parking her truck in front of my makeshift studio here in Greece. Moving swiftly on, I have a go at Malcolm Stacey over this piece and at James Bowden over this piece. I stand with Chris "three brains" Bailey on the recruitment stocks. Then it is onto BCA Marketplace (BCA). is it still "The Big Short?" I discuss in light of news both from Pendragon (PDG) and from the USA yesterday.

Mrs Stacey says that I have been spending too much time in the Punter’s Return reading dull articles about shares and that we need a break. She says that I need inspiration for my next novel and so has suggested that we head off on one of those holidays advertised during Midsomer Murders for a more mature and sophisticated audience.

In today's bearcast I look at Vela (VELA), Debenhams (DEB), Nakama (NAK) and why Malcolm Stacey's bullishness on the house builders is a sign of madness, I think I need to send the old boy on a holiday to reflect. Yields of 8%, 9% and 10% for a sector tell you that what lies ahead is very bad news indeed, including, almost certainly, dividend cuts.
2278 days ago
I note Chris Bailey's excellent article earlier, HERE, and have to say he is bang on the money and those who advise buying housebuilding shares such as Andrew Monk and our own Malcolm Stacey are very wrong. The equity markets are telling you there is a stack of trouble ahead.

In today's bearcast I explain a few flaws in today's article HERE by Malcolm Stacey on Brexit and shares. And why, for once, Donald Trump calls it wrong when he says companies should report less often. Then I take on Mr James Bowden of Stockemndation after his latest article HERE -why brokers and newspapers are to be ignored when they say BUY. Finally Tesla and Elon Musk, I look at the latest developments at Musk's clear mental breakdown (I should know about it, but it was six years ago for me) and at why Tesla could be a zero and far faster than folks think.

Bad language alert. No I am not referring to Mrs Stacey. I would not dare but to Feedback (FDBK) which has done a placing today but another one is needed soon. I look at Mosman (MSMN) which has had terrible results and imagine the conversations round at SP Angel as poor Zac Phillips is forced to pen another buy note on this POS. I look at results from UK Oil & Gas (UKOG), the RedX (REDX) disaster, RM2 (RM2) and Conviviality (CVR). I really enjoyed today's podcast and - conceitedly - think it is rather a good one. Malcolm outlines a strategy today for playing AIM Casino stocks which I regard as folly. I explain why it could go disastrously wrong in two ways. Here I am in Shipston with my father who enjoys bearcasts if they mention him so just for that reason I record again. His faux political correctness is exposed by the issue of coverage of women's cricket in The Guardian - the dreadful newspaper he has delivered to try to fool my family of public sector "working" lefties that he is one of them. In terms of the market I look at Carillion (CLLN) and 88 Energy (88E). Shares in both companies are collapsing today and I look at why and at what lessons folks should be learning. You could so easily have avoided losing money on both. Please note Malcolm Stacey and other Ocado (OCDO) bulls, lesson one on Carillion is for you. I also make it clear that while he may have some of the attributes of a Bulletin Board Moron as he showed HERE, Evil Knievil is not, in fact, a BBM, I was just joshing him when I suggested otherwise. En passant I look at MySquar (MYSQ) and explain why today's exposes HERE and HERE may refer to events a long time ago but are pertinent.

Then I continue my series on AIM fraud. A to E is HERE. F to J is HERE and today I look at K to O covering Kevin Ashton, Lawyer's Letters, Minmet and Mike Walters, New World Oil & Gas and Odey Asset Management. The next part of this series is P to T - any suggestions for what Q and T might cover?

I am utterly wiped out after day one of what looks like being a cracking harvest. A full photo report is HERE. In the podcast I discuss votes tomorrow in Austria and Italy and what they mean and why we bears are feeling good about the lack of a Santa Rally. Trump was Santa this year and that rally is over. I explain why I disagree with Malcolm Stacey's article today. I then look at a number of AIM stocks set to slide and why, as I refer to Steve's piece earlier. In focus: Avanti Communications (AVN), Advanced Oncotherapy (AVO), Telit (TCM), Boohoo (BOO), Tungsten (TUNG), Fastjet (FJET), Cloudtag (CTAG), African Potash (AFPO) and I have a few words about Worthington (WRN)

There are two parts to this bearcast. First I look at Government Debt and GDP over the past 8 years in the UK , France, the US and Greece and where all four are heading - it will startle those like Jeremy Corbyn, Chancellor Hammond and Malcolm Stacey who still believe in the money tree. Then I look at the great sell indicator that is a broker buy note and explain why.
2971 days ago
Malcolm's article today, HERE, suggests that the men in flapping white coats will be coming for him soon. He is madder than a convention of morons at the Cloudtag (CTAG) AGM. But it is all symptomatic of late stage bull market self delusion. I discuss this phenomena and give explicit advice of how to protect your wealth ahead of the shit storm that is coming. The reference to safe spaces for dippy and pathetic millennials is HERE.

Yes I am talking asset bubbles and stockmarket crashes again. Malcolm Stacey take note!

Today my friend Malcolm has stated that he is giving £1,000 to three Charities helping folks in the Calais Jungle as they wait to (illegally) enter Britain. He urges you to donate and you can read his article HERE. But I urge Malcolm to cancel his cheque and for no-one to give a cent to the Charities because what Malcolm says is just plain wrong. Malcolm means well but is naive and poorly researched.

Malcolm Stacey penned a piece earlier today (HERE) on why shares should rise. They may do so, as we live in crazy times but an number of the "facts" claimed by Malcolm are quite simply wrong. And his thesis is thus built on straw - he is wrong, wrong and wrong again as I explain in this bonus podcast.

I have been doing some work to show that the claims made by the left that Brexit has caused a sharp rise in hate crimes are at best academically flawed and thus unproven and at worst an outright lie. That leads me very directly onto claims made by Malcolm Stacey today on Brexit and house prices as he discussed Foxtons (FOXT) HERE. I take that article apart completely as my old friend is just wrong.

Now to yesterday's caption for the photo of Malcolm with the stunning partially clad young lady.

Yesterday's holiday snap from Getafix generated 17 possible captions. The most innacurate, from Backwoodsman, suggested that Malcolm burying his cash in the ground might be his worst investment decision. No way. Surely buying LGO shares was worse. At least there is a slim chance of getting your cash back out of the hole. But Backwoodsman also served up the winner. You can see all 17 entries HERE. Today Malcolm's snap suggests the old rogue has got very lucky. Do your worst.

Last time it was the slowdown in house prices. Today it is the fact that UK equities are not rocketing that Malcolm Stacey is blaming on Brexit fears. His fellow Guardian reading Euro loons blame Brexit for slowing UK economic growth while Dodgy Dave blames it for an increased chance of World War Three. Maybe it is Brexit that is causing Cheryl Cole not to head out to the Greek Hovel for a night of passion with me?.Bloody Boris, you bastard: it is all your fault that I am not playing jiggy wiggy with the UK's leading chanteuse tonight.

Co-written with Malcolm Stacey. Age before beauty. Malcolm First: Hello Share Squirmers. There could be pressure on people like me who write about shares. We could be approached by PR people who want us to write about their clients. Which means that they expect us to give positive reports to companies which issue shares.
Even if they did not say this overtly, I can imagine what they would think of a write-up which turned out to be a blistering attack on the company which employs them. Now all this raises an interesting philosophical question.
There’s no doubt that share writers with immense integrity would never countenance any such deal. I include, of course our writers, like Uncle Tom, Nigel and Steve Moore.

On Thursday night Malcolm Stacey attempted to gain entry to Jeremy Corbyn’s last campaign rally but was foiled and failed to meet the bearded one. Does that mean that his search for Corbyn’s Money Tree is at an end?
3359 days ago
Malcolm Stacey arrived in Islington last night in his pursuit of Comrade Jeremy Corbyn’s famous Money Tree. He felt that he was close to his quest. But did he get to meet the great bearded one?
As you know Getafix Stacey is worried. His potions based on cuttings from the money tree do not seem to be working. Why are shares in Advanced Oncotherapy not at 50p despite being featured here twice a week? Why is the FTSE 100 not at 8,000 as predicted? Perhaps the Money Tree he has been using in the depths of the Welsh forest is a fake or has lost its powers. But another old fool (sorry we meant respected druid) has emerged in North London.
As he wandered up Upper Street in Islington, wading through the litter of discarded granola bar wrappings, Malcolm sensed that the London of his youth had changed. This un-nerved him slightly but he took consolation from the fact that he was just minutes away from the last rally of Comrade Corbyn’s campaign.
Gone were the ramshackle shops of old. Next to the stern sign from the local council “anyone caught smoking cigarettes will be shot with

Perhaps the Money Tree he has been using in the depths of the Welsh forest is a fake or has lost its powers. Fear not…for another old fool (sorry we meant respected druid) has emerged in North London and Malcolm seems to have tracked him down.
Comrade Jeremy Corbyn is a true believer in the Money Tree. And tonight the great man will be holding his last rally as he seeks to become leader of the Labour Party. The event is in Islington North London where almost everyone seems to believe in the Money Tree. Malcolm is heading to N1 as we speak to find this new mystic. Can Malcolm find him and will Corbyn reveal where he cuts twigs from his Money Tree… watch this space, Getafix is in hot pursuit.

Why is the FTSE 100 not at 8,000 as predicted? Perhaps the Money Tree he has been using in the depths of the Welsh forest is a fake or has lost its powers. Fear not…for another old fool (sorry we meant respected druid) has emerged in North London
Comrade Jeremy Corbyn is a true believer in the Money Tree. And so Malcolm Stacey has headed off to find this new mystic. The trouble is that Corbyn is elusive, rushing round the country speaking to massed crowds. Can Malcolm find him and will Corbyn reveal where he cuts twigs from his Money Tree… watch this space, Getafix is in hot pursuit.

Well this is a first. I read Malcolm Stacey's column today and for once I almost agreed with the old boy. Yes I remain a bear but I am net long equities and not panicking. Here's why.

Most folks will not enjoy reviewing their portfolios this morning after last week's stockmarket meltdown. Even the man who says that he is better at stock picking than Warren Buffett, Mr Chris Oil, is having a bad time. To lighten the mood we ask you for captions for any of the pictures below - the deadline for entries is midnight Sunday. Come on Malcolm, give us your bullish take on these reminders that nothing changes....

A few house points on Chris Oil, Dan Levi and flip flop Ben Turney then onto the stockmarket crash. Yes I called this right and comrade Malcolm Stacey er...less right. Getafix says he is not panicking TODAY ( why not?) but I now update my analysis and explain why shares may spike higher short term ( but many not) but why medium term I stay bearish. And where I am especially bearish.

Oh dear. It seems that old Getafix was imbibing the Money Tree potions last night and has decided that David Cameron is a suspect leader because he supports fox hunting. Cameron is indeed a suspect leader for all sorts of reasons (lying about giving us a vote on Europe, the new business destroying National Minimum wage, global warming, etc.) but fox hunting?

This morning my money tree worshipping comrade, the druid Getafix, aka Comrade Malcolm Stacey has written comments (HERE) about Tesco which are so completely insane that I have to respond. Quite simply, I can only assume that Malcolm took too much magic potion last night as he appears to be off with the fairies. Malcolm writes about Tesco:

Earlier today Comrade Malcolm Stacey, our token money tree believer on this website, argued HERE that Greece would not go bust and that would cause shares to zoom higher. I am sorry to say that he is wrong on one if not both counts and explain why in this podcast.

As my father spends an hour in Church I explain why filial devotion does not stretch far enough for me to join him - I despair for the Church of England. Then I add to the points raised by Nigel Somerville in his earlier piece on another Geoff Morrow - of Gate infamy - China joke stock (HERE) and to Steve Moore's comments on Audioboom (made HERE) and make general points about companies that update on KPIs. Finally I disagree with Comrade Malcolm Stacey on his market view of Saturday HERE
And a reminder - have a read of the new UK Investor Magazine which came out on Friday with tips (long and short) from me as well as articles by me on UK housing and Greece and much more besides. No registration is needed just download it HERE

I wonder if it was his years at the BBC which saw my pal Comrade Malcolm Stacey infected with the mad lefty virus. Becuase the old Money Tree worshipper does talk some awful rot and today's column from him HERE is a classic. I feel forced to point out in the interests of balance why he is spouting total gibberish.
The old leftie states:
The new British government will continue austerity. Sadly, that is not good news for the less well off, but it won’t affect the wealthy very much. And it will bring the national debt down.
So the wicked Tories will continue austerity will they? I wish they would. In fact I wish they had started austerity five years ago but they have not. Government spending has risen year on year since 2010 under the wicked Tories and will continue to rise. Some austerity.
And it gets worse

It was a great day when Malcolm Stacey parted company with the Evil Empire and joined the team at ShareProphets. I was really thrilled to have my old pal on board even if he is a bit of a money tree worshipping leftie. Malcolm hosted the Bloggers Cafe at UK Investor Show 2015 and will do the same again at UK Investor 2016 on April 16 and I know that many of you had a good chat with Comrade S on the day. He did find time to do this short interview as well.

This was the session at UK Investor Show I enjoyed the most: Tom Winnifrith as the Sheriff of AIM interviewed by Amanda van Dyke, Nigel Somerville and Malcolm Stacey. Very straight talking on mistakes, on Rivington, on Jim Mellon, on the death threats, on fraud on Quindell and on much more.

I start this podcast with the awesome power of Malcolm Stacey to move markets as per his share tip today. All hail Comrade Stacey. Next up is a joke statement from joke company ValiRX, Eurasia Mining, Westminster Group, Coms and then another good kicking for poor Phorm.

One of the main stage talks at the UK Investor show on 18th April ( yes one week away) is an “ask Tom Winnifrith” session where the Sheriff will be interviewed on the main stage by Malcolm Stacey, Nigel Somerville and Amanda Van Dyke The topics will be wide ranging: Quindell (with new material), frauds past and

Thanks to bloody Doc Holiday and the Mrs and her damned organic vegetable box this is my third take on this Bearcast and I have thus wasted 40 minutes of prime time working and am not pleased. In the podcast I look at Wildhorse Energy and insider dealing ( no apologies for crude racial sterotypes about Australians and how they got there), Daniel Stewart, Good Energy and Malcolm Stacey's other weekend share tips, Mosman Oil & Gas and have a detailed look at Condor Gold.
3518 days ago
Just a little podcast on the matter of Good Energy (GOOD) - Malcolm Stacey's share tip for today. I am not - as you know - a fan of all this Green shite and for that reason but also because the maths looks all wrong to me I explain on why I would pass on Comtrade Stacey's share tip earlier (HERE)

In this podcast I start with the Footsie - er it is now at 6,855 what was that comrade Malcolm Stacey was saying about when 7,000 was breached shares had to rocket to the moon? Only asking. Then it is onto the sordid tale of Gate Ventures and its latest RNS (sorry for the poor taste Woody Allen gags) and Sorbic International.
3531 days ago
The placing song is back again as crony capitalist Steve Berry issues another joke of an RNS for Touchstone Gold. The podcast also covers Clean Air Power (CAP) where surely there is an R missing in the epic, SpaceandPeople, Egdon, Europa Oil & Gas and an update on the latest legal proceedings against The Sheriff of AIM and some comments on my over-optimistic pal Malcolm Stacey and his take on the markets

A brief comment on Mar City (another shocker) but a more general explanation of why I do not YET do bullcasts. It is to do with fraud but also why I perceive that the markets are way overvalued and comrade Malcolm Stacey is so wrong!
3578 days ago
My esteemed fried and colleague comrade Malcolm Stacey is nothing if not consistent. The great Money Tree worshipper is perennially bullish and once again that is his message today (HERE). But is the Footsie "flying?" I compare it to a 1916 Wisden and it is clearly not. And I point out why even if it breaches 7,000 there is every reason to be bearish rather than bullish.

It seems that I disagree with Comrade Malcolm Stacey once again as I discuss whether a stock on a PE of 22 (Diageo or JD Wetherspoon) can be desribed as cheap. I then discuss what should be in a trading statement looking at Foxtons, Blur and Outsourcery - run by the ghastly Piers Linney - and what this says about shares in all three.

This website is about debate. You can respect or even like your colleagues and I am a massive admirer of Malcolm Stacey for the record. But you have to tell your friends when they are wrong. The way that Chris Oil looks at Flybe (HERE) is wrong and comrade Malcolm's comments on Greece and the Euro today (HERE) are wrong at every single level. I explain why in this podcast.

I added a few comments to this piece by my Wales living pal Malcolm Stacey: Hello Share Smackers. As I write this modest little column, my IQE (IQE) shares have leapt on the day by 12%. This is jolly good because I've been ambivalent about this investment.

Like most of my family, Malcolm Stacey has a range of daft lefty opinions which see us disagree on a number of matters. He is a top bloke and we agree on a lot (busting financial fraud, immigration, etc), but I still have images of him sitting in Wales kneeling in prayer to the Money Tree and that brings us to Impellam (IPEL) which he wrote about on Saturday and where we half agree.

I wish no offence to those who believe in Santa (rallies) such as comrade Stacey not to those young whippersnappers such as Mark Howitt who see every sell off as a buying opportunity. But I have been warning for months that UK Equities were simply overvalued and that remains the case. Their advice to buy on the dips and not on the dips has been flawed. I am vindicated and I shall be more vindicated and so today I explain why shares (FTSE 100 down to AIM) are not for buying just yet.

One of the highlights of my 2013 was Malcolm Stacey’s departure from the Evil Empire and arrival here at ShareProphets and a great memory of 2014 was the day we spent together around the time of the UK Investor Show. Malcolm really is one of the nicest and most decent guys in the world of shares. But what he has written today I fundamentally disagree with – as Malcolm well knows!

I do not wish to make this about Tertiary Minerals (TYM) on its own as that will prompt Malcolm Stacey and Comrade Wildrides to issue a fatwa against me. But it rather illustrates a point about just how the AIM Casino works.

In my weekend editorial on my Nifty Fifty website I will be explaining why I think that the stockmarket is likely to suffer a correction of 10-20% before Christmas. Others disagree – comrade Malcolm Stacey reckons that no such crash is on the cards. What do you think?

Malcolm Stacey is a great man and one of the nicest guys in shares. But his bullishness about equity markets is wrong. And here is your 10 point checklist as to why it is right to be bearish.
The Malcolm thesis (see HERE) is that UK Corporate earnings are increasing rapidly as the UK economy grows and that is set to continue well into 2015. For what it’s worth I agree with him. The UK economy is doing (relatively) well but I’d caveat that UK PLC generates a large portion of its income abroad where life is less jolly and where – given the strength of sterling – earnings when repatriated will be less in UK terms. But other than that I agree with the Stacey thesis so far. But here are the 10 reasons why I am bearish.

Malcolm Stacey is a very good man. He is an ethical operator in every way. But when looking at the nest of snakes that is AIM that is not perhaps the greatest attribute an investor can have. The Vipers lure you with a line about ethical investing but 99% of the time it is just so much cock.
And so Malcolm today explains why he has invested in a cancer cure company – HERE. A commentator (Mr Wildes) says “quite right switch out of tobacco stocks into ethical stocks” I disagree.
The reality is that when you are buying or selling shares on the secondary market you are not providing fresh capital for a company so you are not funding the development of a cancer cure or of a new brand of cigarette. You are not assisting these projects in any way at all.
As such your only ethical duty as regards your investments is to make as much money as possible. If

One of George Orwell’s amazing predictions back in 1948 – when he wrote 1984 – is how the plebs would be kept in a state of ignorant servility by pleasures such as the lottery. Malcolm Stacey described it yesterday HERE as a “voluntary tax.” Yes but it is a bad one none the less.
Malcolm is not a normal lottery player. He is intelligent and middle class with an above average income. Your average lottery player is less intelligent than the mean, working or benefits class and on a below average income.
Poor and stupid people volunteer to pay this tax.

Malcolm Stacey is known as the grandfather of share blogging. A professional journalist and broadcaster he has been writing about and trading shares since er… we will spare his blushes but it is a long, long time. He is a good and honest man who I am proud to call my friend and am delighted to work alongside once more.
Malcolm was the founder and guiding spirit of the ShareCrazy website but last year he departed The Empire to join us here at the Rebel Alliance on ShareProphets.
In the late 1990s he published a book, The Armchair Tycoon, which outlined his simple no-nonsense approach to share trading. An updated and revised e-version of that has recently been published.

As ever I start my day reading the excellent column of my old pal Malcolm Stacey, the grandfather of share blogging. But today I was spluttering into my cornflakes as I read his words. Has my old pal become infected with “deluded lefty disease”? Please tell me it is not true or that it if it is you will spend a weekend at the Richard Poulden libertarian boot camp with Ms Argyle (pictured as she is better looking than Comrade Poulden), Matthew Sutcliffe and Dominic Frisby seeking urgent therapy.
Malcolm’s offending phrase in his otherwise excellent column today – HERE – was:
Of course, I sympathise with young people who still can't get jobs and families who have to rely on food banks. That is down to inequality of opportunity, for which the government must shoulder blame.
Where to start with such obvious tosh?

It is time for shocking revelations of shameful personal habits. Earlier today my colleague Malcolm Stacey came out as a reader of the turgid rag for crackpot deluded lefty social workers, teachers and other Money Tree believers – that is to say The Independent on Sunday. Malcolm then argued that he won’t invest in a company with an all-male board. Utter cobblers.
The Money Tree worshipping liberal left like to argue that the fact that 20% of FTSE 100 directors are birds is down to affirmative action campaigning and that if we had legally binding quotas then the birds would get a fair quota on PLC boards (50% I assume) and companies would be better run as a result. This is all so much shite.
The increase in female boardroom representation over the past two decades matches the increase in the number of female partners in City law firms, partners in big City accountants, etc. If anything we wicked capitalists have outperformed liberal bastions with all their affirmative action programmes in this respect. That is because we wicked capitalists care about the bottom line and thus promote on merit. If a woman is the best person for the job, will make more money for the firm than the man she gets the post.
Why are there not more women on PLC boards? Simple. Demographics, PLC boards

We are ringing the changes at The UK Investor Show on April 5 in Westminster. One big change is the introduction of the bloggers café – a special area where writers like Brokerman Dan, Doc Holiday, Malcolm Stacey, Malcolm Palle from Mining Maven, Robert Sutherland Smith, Steve Moore and myself will spend much of the day, blogging, tweeting and just chatting to anyone who wants a chat over a coffee. Hopefully my fave Tory blogger Charlotte Argylle will also join us at the cafe.
Of course we are not the main attraction but this is another reason for you to book a seat at the UK Investor Show this year -. Why book in to attend?
* A top location: the QE2 Centre in the heart of Westminster
* A cracking line-up of big name presenters. Nigel Wray, Mark Slater, Evil Knievil and I am back from 2013. But we are joined this year by 40 other speakers including Terry Smith, the tech queens Vin Murria and Cassandra Harris; Mining gurus Amanda van Dyke, Dominic Frisby and Matt Suttcliffe and blogger supremo Paul Scott and now the Blinkx Destroyer Ben Edelman.
*Real variety – main stage sessions on value investing, Bitcoins, mining investing, crowd-funding, tech investing, oil & gas, shareholder activism and much more
*Better and more exhibiting companies. Last year 50 companies attended the UK Investor Show. This year we already have 90 booked in and counting – the latest booking came just today: Tangent Communications (TNG) - a very profitable AIM listed media company. And most of these PLCs will also do a 20 minute presentation in smaller side room for those who really want to know more.

The Mrs hates me catching this train as she is woken up by my alarm clock at 4 am. I understand her point and so only take it now and again as a treat, when I have to be in London early. But it is a treat. It is the last train before 9.30 which does not cost a second mortgage to catch, but it is the best train of the day.
The cab speeds through a deserted City in minutes. There is no traffic, no jams which serve simply to annoy. A quick fag and I climb aboard a deserted train. There is just one other person in coach D

I realized last week that I had ballsed up my diary and had arranged to have 2 lunches on Tuesday at the same time. I juggled and so arranged lunch one for 1 PM and lunch 2 for 3.30 PM. Still not feeling 100% I trekked up to London for a meeting with Enables IT and braced myself for lunch one having just enough time to check my emails. Bugger. Hell's Teeth.

A year ago tomorrow t1ps.com, the website I set up in my bedroom published a defamatory and malicious piece about me in the name of Steve Moore, James Faulkner and Richard Gill. Our connection was utterly severed and I found myself working alone in the world running just this, my personal blog. Boy has the world changed.
As you may know Steve Moore was on holiday when that piece appeared and when he discovered what had gone out in his name and without his consent or knowledge, he resigned on principle. Then there were two of us. Soon after Darren Atwater took a pay cut, quit and moved to join us. Then Lucian Miers followed suit. Then Robert Sutherland Smith. Paul Nicholson, from the Isle of Man has hooked up with us since. And tomorrow, a year to a day since that infamous episode Malcolm Stacey – the founder of ShareCrazy.com joins our merry band with his debut piece on www.shareprophets.com
In the space of one year
