BREAKING EXCLUSIVE: Novacyt dissembles on bad news from Taiwan but hides a bigger bust up with Thermo Fisher

As I explained on Sunday in bearcast, the donkey Novacyt (NCYT)will either get a one way trip to the glue factory in June if it loses a £134 million legal case with HMG or, in a best case scenario, take the same trip early next year when it runs out of cash. Today it has dissembled about bad news from Taiwan but it is hiding the really bad news, a bust up with Thermo Fisher.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: In detail why Novacyt and Avacta are both shorts

I explain why Novacyt (NCYT) is a zero and Avacta (AVCT) is not a zero but at two levels is a short. I also discuss how companies pretend that the cost of an acquisition is less than its true cost ref Novacyt and also Skinbiotherapeutics (SBTX). And I have updates on Sharestock 2024, more details and ticket booking can be found HERE

Novacyt: a tale of two drunks, a zero one way or another

I suggested that Novacyt (NCYT), of which I have been a perma bear, was doing a bad deal buying Yourgene (YGEN) for £16.7 million in cash. Today’s calendar 2023 trading statement suggests that it had to do some sort of deal as its own business is going nowhere fast. Two drunks can prop each other up for a while but in the end both will collapse into a vomit covered heap anyway.

EXPOSE: Novacyt a stand out short, a man close to the action is in touch

My man is close to the action and his reports suggest to me that Novacyt (NCYT) now in the skilled hands of Lynn Rees, the man who crashed Yourgene (YGEN) could well also crash and burn in 2024. At 66p the market cap is £47 million and the company had £81.7 million cash and no debt at June 30 BUT….

Then I look at bitcoin and its woes, Argo Blockchain (ARB) – bust by next week? – Revolution Beauty (REVB), Boohoo.com (BOO), Novacyt (NCYT) and Nightcap (NGHT) and the problems a CEO has when the media blows smoke up his or her arse for too long.

Novacyt – details of the legal claim that could bankrupt it & which begs massive questions of £9m Graham Mullis

The Times has got hold of papers relating to the £134.6 million breach of contract claim made by the Government against Novacyt (NCYT), we reported here back in April, and this really looks as if it could bankrupt the company, currently sitting on c£90 million of cash. It also begs even more questions for ex CEO Graham Mullis who, if the Government is correct should be in jail for a £9 million bezzle not running Aquis listed Love Hemp (LIFE).

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: falling for a £49 covid test scam

Yes I fell for this scam sponsiored by the British and French Governments ands I mention this in the context of folks getting, wrongly, excited by news today from Novacyt (NCYT). Make no mistake: the covid testing bubble is over. I discuss Fevertree (FEVR) where I predict two more profits warnings – stay short. And then on the vicious attack on Richard Jennings by Ironveld (IRON). Jennings is a litigious fellow so may well be talking to his lawyer. I wouldn’t bother myself but cant think that Ironveld’s board is doing itself any favours with such antics.

LIARS Andrew Male & Love Hemp – a gold medal for implausible bullshit: this is NOT acceptable

Love Hemp (LIFE), the pot play backed by boxer Anthony Joshua, and its executive chairman Andrew Male are liars, they are prepared to deceive investors in a material and repeated way. That is beyond doubt and nothing will ever change the character of Male and thus the company he runs. That is why Peterhouse resigned as its corporate advisor and the shares were suspended. Today, with NED Graham Mullis of Novacyt (NCYT) infamy leading the spinning we are served up gold standard bullshit. You could not make this up.

Novacyt – receives £134.6 million claim from Government – this is all to do with the bonus of ex CEO Graham Mullis and stinks.

As folks guzzled on the covid testing hype one man grew very rich. Graham Mullis was CEO of Novacyt (NCYT), a nothing biotech perennial dog which just happened to have a test. Mullis was to be awarded a cash bonus, the size of which was dependent on the share price on October 17 2020.

Neither Nigel or Tulsi are but that won’t stop certain loons from saying they are. Then a bit more on dangerous fake news. Then I look in detail at MGC Pharmaceiticals (MXC), how it legged over investors in November and is a massive short even now before turning to Vast Resources (VAST), Advanced Oncotherapy (AVO), Cellular Goods (CBX),Novacyt (NCYT) and Avacta (AVCT) my big sector short which has seen its shares collapse to 46p but could easily halve again within weeks.

I look at two shocking economic statistics and what they mean. Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Only lecturers in gender/media studies have a greater unwarranted view of their value to society than FCA staff

I start with the Carrie Antoinette “victory party” a few weeks after my dad’s funeral. This is the final straw at somany levels. Then I move onto news that the FCA staff are balloting on strike action over plans to scarp their bonuses. Then to lessons learned from the Novacyt (NCYT) scandal – where I did warn you! Private Eye on Novacyt - this is damning

I warned you time ad time again that Novacyt (NCYT) was a ramp with the sole purpose of allowing now departed CEO Graham Mullis to trouser an enormous cash bonus based on the share price on just one day. In the end Mullis trousered £8.5 million but, last week, Private Eye served up a great article showing how the company has a cultrure of lying and fabrication and had investors known the truth about tests that did not work or which were contaminated, Mullis would be far less well off than he is today. This is a scandal and the ramifications could be very serious. Potentially a claim by the DHSC could wipe out most of this  company’s balance sheet (cash of £100million) with ongoing cash burn now that sales of its covid tests are evaporating, taking out the rest. This remains a bargepole stock/short.  The article is below.

Will Novacyt follow Bidstack or Henderson Morley?

The Annual AIM awards were a virtual event this year. So there was no need for 1200 crony capitalists from the City to fork out £150 for a ticket, pour themselves into DJs and party frocks and head off to tell each other how wonderful they all were. Post Pfizer – what is Novacyt worth? Far from zero but it’s a slam dunk sell.

Some of us were always of the view that our leaders were somewhat over-reacting to a disease where the average casualty lived longer than UK life expectancy and where the survival rate is 99.97%. But yesterday Pfizer announced it has a vaccine which will protect 90% of those injected which would mean that your chances of perishing from Covid will pretty soon be less than that of being mown down by a bus carrying a West Ham team that has just won the FA Cup. Novacyt: the desperate ramping continues as CEO Graham Mullis can almost smell your money

Remember, as I warned you in my first ever video show, that bosses at Novacyt (NCYT) will get millions of pounds in a few weeks if they can keep the Novacyt share price where it is. The higher it goes the more they get. They will get the bonus in hard cash, potentially exhausting most of the company’s bank balance in the process. We are now at almost 33% of the way to our Rogue Bloggers (well just me) for Woodlarks target. Today I do 11 laps of the fields here in a training walk, so please donate ahead of that ordeal HERE. In the podcast I discuss Gervais Williams, Avacta (AVCT), Novacyt (NCYT), Supply@ME Capital (SYME), Amur Minerals (AMC) and Fox Marble (FOX), with whom I am very cross indeed. I also look at British Land (BLND) which I inadvertently refer to as Land Securities (LAND) in the podcast and commercial property in general.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: I have sold all my Open Orphan shares now and explain why

First of all i hope you listen to the first of my now weekly long premium video podcasts which went out late last night HERE. It was a lot of work recording as I explain in this bearcast. It also gives background on my thinking on Covid-19 and that brings me to Novacyt (NCYT) which has company specific issues which will blow it up as I explain in yesterday’s show and Open Orphan (ORPH) which is very well run and a great company but where I have sold my last shares. I explain why. I also look at Asiamet (ARS), Bluebird Merchant Ventures (BMV), 4D Pharma (DDDD) and Big Dish (DISH). Finally if you have yet to donate to Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks , the great day looms and we are now at 31% so please donate HERE

Novacyt shareholder commits market abuse impersonating Tom Winnifrith to keep the ramp going

In yesterday’s new video show I explained why Novacyt (NCYT) shares were 90% overvalued and presented damning new evidence of the management ramp. Yet immediately a raft of twitter fools – who clearly do not listen to what I have repeatedly said about this stock  – accused me of a volte face? And one particularly deranged individual showed “evidence” of me ramping the stock on May 18. Hang on Henry! This is market abuse. It’s personation. It’s fraud.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Maybe this time the odious bullshitter O'Leary is right

In today’s podcast I look at the pronouncements from the odious leprechaun at Ryanair (RYA), Michael O’Leary. He may be right in what he says but that is no reason to buy airline shares. Then I cover Corero (CNS), Open Orphan (ORPH), where I am both vindicated after Friday’s letter to AIM Regulation and also a seller of more shares today, Novacyt (NCYT), Collagen (COS), Falanx (FLX), and Bidstack (BIDS). Thanks to those who have donated to Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks but most of you have not yet! Please do spare a few bob as the campsite needs our help urgently if it is to make it to 2021. Donate HERE

Novacyt Final results and trading outlook show valuation truly insane

I do not deny, nor have I ever denied, that Novacyt (NCYT) is a winner from Coronavirus but the data out today must make you reflect on the past, present and future and conclude that the valuation, £213 million at 372p, is just insane.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Insanity, insanity, insanity but there is no arguing with the express train

Today’s recordings for the ShareProphets shares show included Gabriel Grego and Luvian Miers – almost three hours between them. In all I sense there may well be more than 70 hours of content on May 9 which will include some amazing stuff. So book your ticket now  HERE.. Elsewhere the world has gone mad but it is pointless pointing that out. I discuss Catennae (CTEA), Novacyt (NCYT) and Carnival (CCL).

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: The prick that will burst the Novacyt, Avacta and other Covid test bubbles has arrived - timber!

I start with the defamatory and anti semitic blog attack on me from Bidstack (BIDS) owning loon which I rebutted yesterday HERE. I have now identified the author who is not as “she” claims a female investigative journalist but is a male Bulletin Board Moron. I shall expose his identity and also his close social media links to Bidstack boss Lyin James Draper, which “she” has been trying to hide this weekend, later. When, I wonder did “she” last swap ideas with Lyin’ James? Then I look at the prick which will burst the Coronavirus testing bubble on AIM. If you own shares in Novacyt (NCYT), Avacta (AVCT) or any of the other Covid test plays watch out! Finally, I am in despair at smug Sam Smith of FinnCrap (FCAP), La Horlick and various other women determined to see taxpayers cash spunked by Rishi Sunak on gender quota lines in his start up bailout scheme. This is insanity laid upon insanity. There is no such insanity at the ShareProphets Shares Show. I am busy making recordings for it every day now, please do book your seats for May 9 HERE

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast - Versarien's tie up with Rolls Royce - I can reveal how much dosh RR is putting up

I start with a few words about how business is setting the pace on ending the Coronavirus lockdown and wonder if the Government’s hand will be forced. On the subject of Covid 19 my latest podcast is live HERE and explains why I believe the Government has made the biggest blunder in history.  I then reveal what Versarien (VRS) does not want you to know about its “hook up” with Rolls Royce and ask if SP Angel is earning commission on the death spiral and if so why is it not being declared? I look at Tullow (TLW), Open Orphan (ORPH), Novacyt (NCYT) and Collagen (COS). And I suggest that you really should buy a ticket to watch the greatest ever line up at a British investor show HERE.

FREE Podcast: ShareProphets Radio Edition 28 with Tom Winnifrith a Coronavirus & stockmarket special

I have no guests in this week’s show which is sponsored by Open Orphan PLC (ORPH). Instead it is just me discussing all things Coronavirus. My own views on the pandemic and on the Government’s disastrous, GroupThink driven, response are well documented in a series of podcasts and a couple of articles on my own website HERE. my views are not the issue it is the economic and stockmarket fallout. I discuss the bubble led by stocks like Novacyt (NCYT) and why it MUST burst but also stocks to buy and why I am nervous of the market rally. If you like this podcast and can’t wait seven days for more of the same and are tired of being a cheapskate you should listen to my Bearcast and enjoy our cracking writen exposes and analysis every day HERE.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Now about those 90 shares James Parsons - a massive red flag at Ascent

I start with the arrival of 20 fruit trees at the Welsh Hovel then look at the economic hit of the Government’s Coronavirus policy and ask if it was really worth it? Then I do the work on the RNS statements issued by Ascent Resources (AST) and Iconic (ICON) that their advisers should have done but failed to do. Needless to say there are massive questions that need ansewering. Finally a look at the valuation of Novacyt (NCYT). I have seen this sort of thing before and it is bonkers.

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Now I am going to try to make you smile and laugh

I start by suggesting you read about the clownish Emma Priestley, AIM’s most incompetent boss HERE. Then I take great joy from the news that Channel 4 is having to make big cost cuts, but comment on its moral bankruptcy in taking state aid while still paying stars a packet and also what this tells us about companies such as Audioboom (BOOM). I look at the latest daft idea from my local Tory MP, Sarah Atherton, about the taxpayer funding a dying industry. I discuss a chat with Paul Jourdan of Amati, why I think house prices will crash but the bull case for shares. I look at the new dot.com bubble, the Corona bubble discussing, inter alia, Novacyt (NCYT), Tiziana (TILS) and Omega Diagnostics (ODX).

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Update from flood central, just when will IQE issue its Coronavirus warning

This really is today’s bearcast despite my introduction. Thanks for the kind messages about the flooding, the waters are now recedng fast. In today’s podcast I look at China and the Coronavirus and ask WHEN IQE (OQE) will warn and if that will force a discounted placing. Methinks it will. I then look at the rioles of brokers (does research mean anything)? and Nomads (rules on quitting) in general and specifically in relation to Versarien (FRAUD). Then I discussa crazed TW hater and Optibiotix (OPTI) and how ultimately all comment on a company cannot determine its real value. In that vein I also look at Novacyt (NCYT) before finally looking at the worthless joke that is Conroy Gold and Natural Resources (CGNR). And I announce a fifth rogue blogger, Praise the Lord. Please donate something to the Woodlarks appeal HERE

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Cambridge, 14 March, £83, Lingerie on Expenses - She's back! Bargain!

hey what better way to mark International Women’s day than to hear an overpaid BBC nobody interview someone who  says she is “ A self-confessed believer in the human spirit, she is ‘ridiculously and overwhelmingly happy with the opportunities that she has to develop and how she can play into the amazing world that we live in.” Yup, you know who is back. Elsewhere in this podcast I discuss Versarien (VRS), whose Nomad DID resign, ValiRx (VAL), Sound Energy (SOU), Petra Diamonds (PDL), Novacyt (NCYT), Nostra Terra (NTOG) and Laura Ashley (ALY). I also ask you to be generous and give to a great cause today HERE

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Sosandar placing, you were warned but for some folk it will be a shock and is enough to turn a man to drink

In today’s podcast I look at the shocking behaviour of Sosandar (SOS) and at the even more shocking behaviour of some shareholders in Novacyt (NCYT), shares in which are grotesquely overvalued. I also look at Zoetic (ZOE) where my predictions have come to pass, and at United Carpets (UCG) which should, IMHO, delist from AIM pronto.
