The tradition already established here is that the pumpkin from Halloween is turned into a head of a “Guy” and burned on the bonfire which, this year, is on November 2. Each year the debate is fierce as to who the Guy will be.

I have already demonstrated that Rachel Reeves MP is perhaps the most economically illiterate person in Halitosis Hall, and that takes some doing. The shadow chancellor does not seem to appreciate that she can only tax the profits of oil companies on their UK earnings and North Sea Operators already pay 75% tax. As the tweet below somehow she seems to think that adding to that tax will both cure inflation and slash fuel prices. I realise that there are many truly economically illiterate MPs, but this one could be Chancellor of the Exchequer by the end of next year.

The tweet below is from Labour shadow chancellor Rachel Reeves but I also cite Lib Dem leader Ed Davey for spouting equal tosh this morning. I start with BP (BP.) and windfall taxes.
