The Dark Destroyer has built up a sizeable short in ASOS (ASC) the Sunday Times blasted yesterday. Perhaps he’s been reading ShareProphets as we’ve been bearish for a long while. I discussed this in bearcast yesterday. But would you like to meet Matt in person as he is a lead speaker at ShareStock on September 23. There is more.

Last week the Dark Destroyer agreed to do a conference call with a few fund managers to discuss Darktrace (DARK). Some sad feck recorded the call and passed the recording to the Sunday Times which ran a big story “exposing Matt’s undisclosed short”. If only financial journalists on the deadwood press understood that short disclosures are only visible over 0.5%. So, for Darktrace that would be c. £18 million, way too big for Earl’s Shadowfall oufit. Earl is hiding nothing.

First up, after I nudged Paul Staines (Guido) we did get that hat tip as you can see HERE. Cheers Paul. I then look at Babcock (BAB), Boatman Capital and the corrupt deadwood press, Minoan (MIN), the fraud Zoetic (ZOE) and its missing results, Kefi (KEFI), Supply@ME Capital (SYME) and the missing shares and then at MyHealthChecked (MHC) where I expect the shares to zoom within weeks but which is causing me to spit nails.

Today I look at three companies. I start with Skinbiotherapeutics (SBTX) where I ask if it is better to travel than to arrive? Then it is onto Sarah Willingham, Allenby Capital, The Sunday Times and their collective shame in the disgraceful AIM IPO of car crash in waiting Nightcap (NGHT). Finally I look at Sosandar (SOS).

After the company’s PR firm managed to persuade another lacky journalist at the Sunday Times to do a massive puff piece for Nightcap, a firm run by Dragon’s Den Sarah Willingham, I am this morning invited to invest in the AIM Casino IPO via Primary Bid. Here is what the Sunday Times and other pliant hacks do not tell you and this is why “I’m out” on this one. I’d rather eat my own toenails than invest.

I have flagged up the corrupt nature of the deadwood press, and the Sunday Times in particular, numerous times on this website. The way it blew off Neil Woodford in return for “scoops” and again and again backs boards, who by dint of underperformance, are quite rightly under fire with dirty attacks on their critics is shameful. Babcock (BAB) is a case in point. Today the paper shows its true colours again with its coverage of NMC Health (NMC) and more especially, and shamefully, of EasyJet (EZJ).

Almost entirely recovered from illness, this bonus Bearcast covers the latest shocking news in the great establishment cover up for disgraced Neil Woodford, The Sunday Times sucking PR (Bab) Cock as the man behind Boatman is revealed and the Miton Smaller Companies Fund of Gervais Williams. Its performance is dire and redemptions are vast, is it in really deep merde or just very serious trouble?

I start the podcast discussing legalisng cannabis, I cover the idea of investing in it HERE. Then I look at coverage of disgraced Neil Woodford in the Sunday Times and in the Mail on Sunday c/o Jeff Prestridge. Mr Presstrip has sunk to a new all time low and both papers cast a stain on an entire profession.

In today’s podcast I come clean on tomorrow’s Panorama on Neil Woodford and then look at today’s dishonest and disgusting coverage of Neil Woodford in the Sunday Telegraph, Mail on Sunday and, worst of all, The Sunday Times.

The Sunday Times has a major expose on St James Place (SJP) based on testimony of an ex employee. It is truly shocking stuff although not shocking for me as St James pursued my late Uncle Chris very aggressively. What this firm does to screw clients and to reward staff who shaft those clients is repellent and shames capitalism. I hope the firm goes bust and its workers never work again. and it may happen…

Cynical Bear warned Benevolent AI would be Neil Woodford’s Kryptonite in May 2018. His coverage before then and his and our coverage since then was amazing and so far ahead of that of the Deadwood Press. The Sunday Times does some “analysis” today and almost gets the same answer we got years ago. Wankers. But it has a new angle: the next funding round will be a savage “down round”. I explain why this will blow Woodford apart exposing to all what a greedy charlatan and chancer he is.

The Sunday Times “reveals” ( i.e. is told by Neil Woodford’s PR spinners) that his Proton Partners , proton beam centre operator, is planning a £320 million IPO and hoping to raise £50 million on, o-f all places, the NEX Lobster pot. This is a spoof but the deadwood press ( step forward Peter Evans and Sabah Meddings) are happy to assist the great one.

A delayed bearcast as it is all go at the Greek Hovel with the olive harvest. Comrade Andrew Bell has departed but the Albanian cavalry has arrived. More on that on my own website later, with photos. In today's podcast i start with the explosive news about how wretched Theresa May has misled MPs and the nation over Brexit. Surely she must go now. And I ponder events in France. Do we really want to be in bed with that sort of place. Then onto Telit (TCM) where the Sunday Times has big news. This could be a zero by tomorrow. I discuss in detail. I also comment on another fraud, MySquar (MYSQ)

You could not make it up. Another week. Another Neil Woodford share support operation in the Mail on Sunday. I look at Woodford and wider issues he faces at The Times and Sunday Times and their shameful role in the MySquar (MYSQ) fraud and at Purplebricks (PURP) and the fundamental weakness in its business proposition that will ultimately sink it.

Downing Street is desperate to bully us into backing its weedy sell out Chequers plan on Brexit, or indeed an even more pathetic version of it once the EU make demands which wretched Theresa May caves to. It has thus unleahsed , via pliant papers such as The Sunday Times and, especially, the Mail on Sunday, a deluge of scare stories about the possible consequences of not agreeing to its awful deal.

If Quindell (QPP) was not in serious trouble with its Nomad Cenkos and facing an imminent suspension of trading in its shares it would have issued an RNS today. It did not. That deafening silence must set alarm bells ringing in the heads of even the dimmest of shareholders - are you reading Tom Dobell at M&G because that means YOU!
The Sunday Times said yesterday that Quindell was urgently seeking a new Nomad. Improbably sources close to Quindell said this was because it wished to draw a line in the sand. As I explained yesterday this is patent bollocks – see HERE.
My sources tell me that Cenkos has indicated to Quindell

The Sunday Times has today unearthed evidence of the cash crisis at Quindell (QPP). Listeners to bearcasts here will not be suprised by this news. So what does Quindell do now? Will the sad excuse of a Nomad that is Cenkos let it respond or must the shares be suspended at once. In an angry and hard hitting podcast I lay out what lies ahead as the shit hits the fan and the shares become worthless. Events are now moving at light speed, the word "vindication" is on my lips.

I see that the Sunday Times has had a go at Quindell (QPP) CEO Rob Terry for picking up a £720,000 cash bonus last year given that the share price has halved in recent weeks. The Newspaper is right but for the wrong reasons.
Bonuses should not be linked to share price performance. We all want to see a CEO present a case well so the shares go up that is part of the job. But to link a bonus solely to short term share price movements merely encourages ramping and is not the way to deliver a sustainable long term growth in shareholder value. So in my view a bonus should not in any way be linked to the share price.
As it happens
