Supply@Me Capital – joke trading update, deep dive into the waffle, Part 2

As I pointed out earlier, in today’s trading update the fraud Supply@ ME Capital (SYME) provides no financial information on revenues or cash as at 31 December 2022 because boss Alessandro Zamboni doesn’t want to expose just how piss poor the actual numbers are.  The trading statement has a list of “achievements” but its primarily a list of excuses of that the dog ate my homework during 2022 but there will be jam tomorrow. Now to dig into the excuses…

ScotGold – buried in today’s news is a cash crisis, hence current valuation insane

Scotgold (SGZ) has today served up a trading statement where the bad news is buried in a place nobody is meant to spot. One imagines that the only folks holding this stock are patriotic Saltire waving heroin addicts yakking on about how women with penises should be allowed to go into women’s prisons and share a changing room with your 13 year old daughter. Maybe our heavily subsidised friends in Scotland have not noticed the elephant in the room or maybe economics is not their strongest subject?

Oh dear. Oh dear. Oh dear. Just when you thought things could not get any worse for the fraud Chill Brands (CHLL) they have. SHOCKER: Manolete - a panicked trading statement reveals the unjustifiably aggressive nature of its accounts

I noted on Monday how shares in Manolete (MANO) were tanking. So what to do? Natch, issue a panicked trading statement at 4.25 PM on Tuesday to reverse the rot. An unscheduled trading statement in the face of a sliding share price is always a bit of a red flag. Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Another slam dunk lie in the MySquar trading statement - time for correction number 2

Oh dear, oh dear. This is pretty simple maths although clearly beyond the wit of clueless Nomad SP Angel but in this podcast I demonstrate clearly another slam dunk lie in the MySquar (MYSQ) trading statement of last week and corrected version of this week. Time for another correction? But it gets worse. I remind you of what SP Angel needs to establish to show that MySquar only breached AIM Rules rather than committing wholesale fraud (ref July sales) but now suggest that its claims re September comparatives might bear scrutiny as well. And there are some very fishy rumours coming out of Singapore that SP Angel might consider as it decides whether to quit or not.  I move on to cover Paternoster Resources (PRS) after its latest bad news and explain why its NAV is illusory and then ask readers for help in outing which oil & gas stock Cornhill is raising $15 million for today at a discount of 12% to some share price or another.

Good news all round.

Wandisco - utterly disastrous trading statement, when's bankruptcy?

AIM Death list member Wandisco (WAND) has released, what can only be described as, an utterly disastrous trading statement at every level. All the money's nearly gone and there must be a very real danger that it is tits up time soon.

InternetQ bogus trading statement hides behind Takeover Panel Rules

InternetQ (INTQ) the dodgy Greek outfit exposed repeatedly HERE for all sorts of nonsense has published a totally meaningless trading statement. It hides behind the fact that the Chief Bubble is considering an MBO if he can persuade fund manager Tosca to back him.

Tom Winnifrith Pancake Day Bearcast - talking of flipping: MX Oil

Just a reminder that it is Shrove Tuesday or, as younger folks might say, Pancake Day. Next up I shall be asking what you are giving up for Lent? I shall be giving up expressing my undiluted admiration for Britain's leading chanteuse Ms Cheryl Cole. Back to shares and I discuss what is real asset backing and what is it worth with relation to Allied Minds (ALM) and Cambian (CMBN) and a piss poor trading statement from Tungsten (TUNG). I express some displeasure with MX Oil (MXO), now off any buy list, and then move onto Servision (SEV) which is heading to where Motive TV (MTV) is now - off another 50% at 0.00p

Iofina - why wont it tell us the critical metric of cash? Reason: it has sweet FA

A year end trading statement is meant to allow investors to make a rational decision on whether to buy hold or sell the shares. A statement such as that served up by Iofina (IOF) today fails to do that. If a company fails to announce critical metrics it is - 99.99% of the time - because those metrics are dire. And that is the truth behind today's turd polishing from this AIM listed POS.

Avanti Communications Q1 Trading Statement – Complete and utter turd polishing nonsense

King of the AIM bombasts the uber Welsh David Williams of drowning in debt Avanti Communications (AVN) has polished up another turd, that is to say his Q1 trading statement. Naturally Taffy Williams is delighted with all the progress being made. He always is as target after target is missed.

Rightster, becoming more of a Wrongster every day – cash call ahoy? Tell us about the hidden tax bill

Floated on the AIM Casino at 60p in November 2013, shares in Rightster (RSTR) now trade at 13p-17p but worse is to come as last week’s trading statement DIDN’T make clear.

I have attempted to discuss this with the company but it refers all enquiries to its £5,000-£10,000 pcm PR agency Newgate Threadneedle where the main man is Tim Thompson, the guy we got sacked from his last gig when we exposed the dirty tricks he played on behalf of Range Resources on dissident shareholders. Disgraced Timothy refused to return three phone calls on Thursday as did his colleagues. Well that is £5,000-£10,000 of shareholders cash well spent is it not?

The trading statement was full of the usual shite.

Misleading Analyst Research of the day – Edison on Brady

Edison is paid by companies to hire analysts such as convicted felon Champagne Charlie Gibson to produce research reports. The hooker never tells a punter that he has a small dick and Edison finds itself in the same position: just keep the client happy. And thus once again it has today served up a research report with a massively misleading title. The stock is Brady (BRY) which today served up a first half trading statement.

blinkx trading statement is dire and worse is to come on April 18

Today’s trading statement from blinkx must be making even Roger Lawson from ShareSoc splutter into his cornflakes as it is truly dire. No wonder that the shares, 90p a year ago as Lawson said the bears did not know what they were talking about, are just 28.5p and falling. And worse is to come for this POS as a 100% vindicated Ben Edelman will be having another go at www.UKInvestorshow.com on April 18 in Westminster.

Plastics Capital Trading Statement – I’m a bit flummoxed

Plastics Capital (PLA) has done itself no favours at all with a trading statement which for word analysers is a bit of a puzzle. The good news is that it states baldly that it is on track to hit forecasts for the full year after a Q3 which was strong.

I quote exactly:

Quindell Trading Statement – Folks are starting to see what Bullshit it all is

Quite simply I have never read such complete and utter bollocks in my life. As I write Quenron (QPP) shares are down by a couple of pence at 151p. That is despite it issuing a trading statement which was meant to appear extraordinarily upbeat. In the old days the stock would have jumped by 20% on this sort of bull. But these days investors seem to be waking up to the fact that it does not add up, that the company is talking patent bollocks and that the cash situation is clearly critical. Chuck in the Red Flags from subsidiary accounts which are landing thick and fast and this one is now in a a rapid spiral towards death.

And so what crap is talked in the statement? Where does one start? At the top my friends.

Quindell and ANOTHER (misleading) Trading Statement as the shit hits the fan

On 14th July Quindell (QPP) issued a trading statement. Its interims are on 21 August. And so today it issues, er um yet another trading statement. Why? Because its shares are in free fall. The statement implies that all is well and the shares have clawed back some of their losses but it simply fails to deal with the bear case. My stance is still sell with a 1p target. Here is why you should view this as a selling opportunity.

The statement says that in July targets for cash conversion, EPS, EBITDA were met and “operating cash flow” turned positive in July meaning net funds increased It reaffirms it is on target to meet forecasts but says that “Certain contracts being restructured to ensure the optimum return on cash resources but both profit and cash guidance are not dependent on any upside from these initiatives.”

Globo Trading Statement – hang on fellows

Shares in Globo (GBO) are 5% ahead on the back of what appears a bullish trading update. But hang on am I missing something here?

The update first. H1 2014 sales will be 45% ahead at 46.5 million Euro which is slightly head of forecasts,  PBT is forecast to be slightly ahead of expectations and net cash grew by 3.2 million at the year end to 46 million Euro.

Hmmm. That looks good. But …

Quindell – Just a few other things to mention – target still 20p: SELL

Having slept on the matter I am more than happy to retain my sell stance and 20p target on Quindell after yesterday’s trading statement. On the basis of Quindell adjusted earnings and cashflow forecasts the shares rocketed yesterday but I have more questions than ever and I see the shares are falling steadily today as serious investors start to ask serious questions. My core concern remains cash as I explained yesterday HERE

I note that all those folks tweeting me yesterday with #QPP or #QPPSAG saying what a prat I was and pointing out how the shares were soaring have yet to tweet me to flag how they are falling today. How odd. I would urge you to read the piece I posted earlier on various press comments as that should raise real concerns if you are a Quindell shareholder. That can be viewed HERE

My new issues to raise.

Quindell the Trading Statement - SMTM

Suddenly bulletin board morons tweet me in a way that suggests they need to up the medication urgently. Quindell (QPP) shares have leapt by 33% or more to 244p on the back of a trading statement. Those folks who lambasted me for being bearish at 250p and above reckon I have lost all credibility, blah, blah, blah. Whatever… The statement reads well. Superficially – that is to say if you just look at Quindell defined EBITDA, sales (including huge accruals) and EPS numbers. But I have a number of issues and remain a seller with a 20p target and here is why…

Avanti Communications – The “Trading Update” and Expectations – Sell

Avanti Communications (AVN) is now officially my Victor Meldrew stock: “I just do not believe it!” Last week it served up a “contract win” announcement that was utterly incredible. Now for this, drowning in debt, needs to raise equity Company we turn to the mystery of the full year trading statement.

Back in 2013 the statement covering the 12 months to 30th June came out on 12th July and generally well run companies follow a fairly similar year in year out routine. But this is not a well-run company it is Avanti. So there was no trading statement.

Globo Trading Statement Tuesday – what it says does not matter & the Devastating Ennismore Bear note

Globo (GBO) serves up a trading statement on Tuesday. My view is that whatever it says matters not a jot. I do not believe that this is an investment grade business. Where the shares go short term I know not. But one day they will collapse. When will that be, I know not. But I would never want to own shares in this AIM Cesspit posterboy. The Silverdell Scandal – another question for Nomad FinnCap & Disgraced CEO Sean Nutley

The Silverdell (SID) scandal meanders on with Nominated advisor FinnCap, headed by self-important Sam Smith (pictured), insisting that in trousering hundreds of thousands of pounds in fees, it has done nothing wrong. Its Compliance Officer Mr Tubby has conducted a “full review” and found that his firm was not in any way negligent of its responsibilities. Hmmmmmm – a new whistleblower has contacted me.

You can read Mr Tubby’s protestations of innocence and why they do not wash HERE

I now turn to the trading statement of 20th June 2013 when AIM Cesspit posterboy Silverdell stressed how brilliantly it was doing even though its main subsidiary had received a winding up order on 13th June which brought the PLC down by 2nd July. When a company issues a trading statement it will have a minuted board meeting with the Chairman in charge to approve it. A copy of the minute will be passed to the Nomad before the statement is released.

Sefton Trading Statement – it is what is NOT said as well as the cobblers spouted

Sefton (SER) has issued a trading statement. Given the widespread comment as to its (lack of) cash position you would have thought it would clarify that matter. Its failure to do so is damning. There is either a placing (heavily discounted – shall we say 0.25p?) looming or, in the very likely scenario that no placing can be got away, this company is toast. My calculations suggest that cash net of current liabilities/trade receivables is nil or worse – can Sefton clarify this as a matter of extreme urgency?

The company also declined to comment on the matters arising from the Gary Dillabaugh revelations of yesterday. Again one has to ask why? The answer: because it knows that there is no answer. Jim Ellerton has been rumbled and exposed.

And so what was said? The best I save to the end but…

Kenmare Resources Trading Statement – less dire than usual, but…

Kenmare Resources (KMR) has served up a trading statement which for one shows more steps forward than back. But it is hardly impressive. Domino's Pizza - Cracking Trading Statement

Domino’s Pizza (DOM) has served up a truly cracking trading statement covering the 13 week period to 31st March. The company says that its start to the year has been “solid”. It understates the case.

Blinkx Cracking Trading Statement - is it time to bank gains?

When a company issues an RNS headlined “Trading Statement” there is always a heart in moth moment as you open it up – is this a profits warning? No such concerns today with Blinkx (BLNX) which has announced that after an exceptional first half, trading in the third quarter remains strong and hence it will beat full year forecasts. The shares have raced ahead by 26% to 86.25p but are they now more than up with events? Is it time to bank gains?

The statement is brief but reads:

“In November 2012, blinkx announced that it had an exceptional first half, driven by the early integration of recent acquisitions and the effects of the US elections and London Olympics. Today, blinkx is pleased to report that trading in the third quarter continued to be strong. Therefore, the company expects to be ahead of targets, with revenue for the full year in the range of $180M to $185M.

Cupid – Share Price Comment: Riposte to Aubrey Brocklebank

Shares in Cupid (LSE:CUP) have plunged in recent days. Belatedly the company issued a statement at noon on Friday which should have stopped the sell-off. It did not. Hmmm. The shares now trade at 135.25p valuing the business at £113 million.

The statement reads:

“Cupid plc notes the movement in its share price; the Company knows of no material reason for the movement. The Group confirms it is trading in line with expectations and that at the year end had approximately £14m cash on its balance sheet. As previously announced, the Group will be issuing its full year 2012 results on 5 March 2013.

Plastics Capital Trading Statement: Buy

I commented positively on shares in AIM-listed niche plastics products manufacturer, Plastics Capital (PLA) in September at 66p and November at 72p. This was a big winner from my days at t1ps.com. Following a trading update today which reported that the company “continues to trade broadly in line with market expectations” and that “performance should be broadly in line with expectations over the final quarter and looking into the next financial year anticipate a year of significant progress”, the shares now trade at 79.5p. WANdisco Trading Statement: Good News continues but 2014 PE now 120

On 15th January AIM listed super IPO of 2012 WANdisco (LSE:WAND) served up what was a very upbeat and impressive trading statement prompting modest upgrades from its paid for research lackeys at Edison and GE&CR and sending the shares soaring ahead to a 577.5p share price. The 2014 PE ratio is now in the region of 120. On 6th January I explained why this stock was actually, a plausibly, cheap share tip at 493p although it could hardly be described as a traditional Warren Buffett style value investment.

JD Wetherspoon Trading Statement – Not My Cup of Tea

UK pub owner and operator and FTSE-250 constituent JD Wetherspoon (JDW) has today provided an update on current trading ahead of its results for the six months ending 27th January 2013, which are expected to be announced on 15th March. The share price has risen from a little over 370p in May to 518.5p at the close today but I am struggling to see why anyone should get that excited about the state of play.
