The Coronation weekend is over but as I drive around the villages around Wrexham and Chester I am struck by how much of the celebratory bunting and flags stay up. Even here on the Welsh side of the border, the red white and blue of the United Kingdom cannot be dodged. My Indian born parents-in-law, old enough to have been born under British Rule, still fly their Union Flags as do so many others. But for years flying such flags was expressly frowned upon by the liberal establishment that runs the media, academia and most of the political class.

It is very clever and, as anti-semitism becomes a growing problem, notably in academia, it’s timely. Enjoy.

The last sixteen months have seen three enormous deaths for me, the passing of the three most important men in my life. And there was a fourth.

The tide is turning against a radical Black Lives Matter Agenda as I demonstrated here yesterday. But there are last redoubts manned by members of the liberal elites who are determined to push this agenda. Academia is one such redoubt and there are moves to make history GCSE more BLM friendly. I discuss two of the changes proposed from Tudor England and Nazi Germany and deal with actual facts and try to put them into context. I also explain why this patronising nonsense is divisive, insulting to folks such as the Jews and the Roma and also fails to tell our kids of all colours who they are which is surely what history is all about. Of course the Government can stop it. If only we had a Conservative Government.

Dear snowflakes, liberal progressives who know so much more about eternal truths than an old man like myself, I have an essay for you to consider. I know that you probably think that essays are old fashioned and multiple choice questions as part of ongoing course work is the future of academia but, humour me, and have a brief stab at this one. The essay title is:

I really worry that kids are forking out £9,000 a year by virtue signalling fools on the left wing madrassas that pretend to be British universities in 2018. Today's horror show comes from Professor Tanja Bueltman a history professor at Northumbria University.

I used to host events for, I think, the Kings College Libertarian Society when I owned a restaurant nearby. I am a libertarian and I also believe in free speech which means that all sides need to be allowed a platform, even those with whom you disagree. But as I have found to my own cost in recent months, on campuses across the UK free speech is under real threat from the extreme left. And truth is the first casualty. Anyone with whom the left disagrees is "Alt Right" even though we libertarians clearly are not. But who cares? For some of those on the left it is now acceptable to tell lies to shut down those with whom you disagree. You would have thought that academic staff would fight such bullying to protect the integrity of academia. Sadly that is not always the case.. The video below tells the tale of the battle of King's College.

No comment on the cartoon below is needed from me. I suspect that the liberals who inhabit the swamp that is British & American academia would not find this funny or even understand the joke.

Jingle Bells, Jingle Bells, Jingle all the way, oh what fun it is with Hitler living the Aryan way. Okay I made up the second line but it makes no difference, the original version of the festive tune is racist anyway claims mad prof Kyna Hamill from Boston university.

Tory MP Christopher Heaton-Harris seems to be in a spot of bother in certain circles for writing to university vice chancellors asking for a list of those lecturers who were running course material on Brexit and asking to see that course material. That is what actually happened but the BBC's senior reporter John Simpson tweeted out something rather different. This is fake news surely?

I have noted many times before how free speech no longer exists on campuses across the West. If you pursue a politically correct strict liberal orthodoxy you can say what you want. Anything goes. All men are animals and wannabe rapists, white folks must be ashamed of all their crimes and so are innately evil racists. Heterosexuals should be under-represented in Parliament. Trans is the new normal. Its okay to say you want to assassinate President Trump. The Jewish state acts like Nazis and has no right to exist. All those statements are, to me, obscene and/or untrue but on campuses across Britain and the US they are repeated and accepted as fine every day.
Those who dare to disagree whether they be evil conservatives such as Ann Coulter or uber-liberals like Germaine Greer or the great Peter Tatchell ho just slipped up (usually on Trans issues) then you get no platformed. Try saying something really controversial like the British Empire did a lot of good (which it did), Britain did more to abolish slavery than any African state has ever done (again true) or that climate change is pure fiction (which it is) and as an academic, your career is toast even if the remarks are made in private.
The latest lunacy comes from Edinburgh where a spiky law student Robbie Travers responded to news that the Americans just dropped a vast bomb on ISIS fighters with a facebook post

A twitter spat to start the day with Hugo Rifkind a journalist who is a journalist because of who his pop is (Malcolm) not because of any great ability. Or in fact any ability at all. Mr Rifkind spews out inane tweets in the same way as my morbidly obese three legged cat Oakley pisses on the doorstep. He does so constantly and the world is none the wiser as a result. Among this morning's bon mots was:
