PWC and two partners fined by the FRC over Babcock howlers but Boatman Capital says its just not enough

And Boatman, which exposed the accounting howlers at Babcock (BAB) in its March 31 2017 and 2018 accounts is dead right. The fines and censures handed out today will deter no accountant at all from enabling fraud.

BREAKING: Now Boatman Capital savages Home REIT & demands boardroom changes

First it was Viceroy Research savaging Home REIT (HOME), now Boatman Capital, the entity that exposed Babcock (BAB) and Argo Blockchain (ARB) has joined the battle. It claims to be long not short but its letter to Home below is damning and makes it clear that heads need to roll. Enjoy.

New shorts, old shorts, no recordings no holds barred in 16 days time

It s just 16 days to Sharestock and I bought the big tent for it yesterday!. It will not just be about shares to short. Peter Hambro will talk about gold and how to play it. Chris Bailey will talk about making money from long only value investing in a bear market and 3 CEOs will face a 15 minute grilling from me, including Optibiotix boss Steve O’Hara and Cathal Friel of Open Orphan. But the short sellers presenting are legends.

BREAKING: Truly Explosive Bear Dossier on Argo Blockchain from Boatman - anyone owning this stock is bonkers, short it if you can

This 17 page dossier from Boatman Capital of Babcock (BAB) fame is just out this very second and is dynamite. I have repeatedly warned folks that Argo Blockchain (ARB) failed the smell test on a number of counts and that its valuation was insane but even I did not dream that things could be this bad. What is not alleged, but proved, in this dossier is dynamite and the shares should be suspended at once with heads forced to roll over what we now know. Of coursemillenial  ESG freak fund managers are still drooling over the company appointing 3 women to the board the other day. To them that is far more important than a Texas land deal that stinks to high heaven and a legal dispute which suggests the company has not a shred of corporate integrity.  The FCA may well consider a share suspension, ahead of that the shares are a nil brainer slam dunk sell/short This is superb research. Enjoy!

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Matthew's Dog will be on cloud nine as I am so angry with Nigel, the corrupt Sunday Times and with MyHealthChecked

First up, after I nudged Paul Staines (Guido) we did get that hat tip as you can see HERE. Cheers Paul. I then look at Babcock (BAB), Boatman Capital and the corrupt deadwood press, Minoan (MIN), the fraud Zoetic (ZOE) and its missing results, Kefi (KEFI), Supply@ME Capital (SYME) and the missing shares and then at MyHealthChecked (MHC) where I expect the shares to zoom within weeks but which is causing me to spit nails.

BREAKING: New Boatman dossier - this time the target is Thungela Resources

Last time bear raider Boatman set sail its target was Babcock (BAB). The company responded by hiring spooks at Kroll and getting poodle yellow journalists at the Sunday Times to target Boatman. It failed. The CEO, FD and Chairman of Babcock have had to walk the plank and the shares have crashed. So the next target…

Babcock is a case study in how bad companies or frauds respond to bear dossiers

Let us be clear, Babcock (BAB) is not a fraud but it is a bad company. For several years now it has been poorly run. It has too much debt. It does not generate much cash, indeed it seems to be burning it. And on many of its contracts the margins are so wafer thin that there really seems little point in deploying capital to win them. Who says so?

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast: Ok Colin Bird you are now talking utter bollocks and are shameless, I have had enough

I start with Jubilee Metals (JLP) where I am way ahead but have had enough. The shares are cheap but I have had enough of Colin Bird spouting uttder bollocks. After today I now own more shares in this companmy than Bird but that is going to change. Soon, like me and Lance Armstrong with accepted Tour de France wins, we will be neck and neck. Then I look at Hawkwing (HNG), Babcock (BAB) and Conduity Capital (CCAP) run by scumbag Greg Collier.

The Corrupt Deadwood Press: The Sunday Times on NMC and backing Easyjet’s board

I have flagged up the corrupt nature of the deadwood press, and the Sunday Times in particular, numerous times on this website. The way it blew off Neil Woodford in return for “scoops” and again and again backs boards, who by dint of underperformance, are quite rightly under fire with dirty attacks on their critics is shameful. Babcock (BAB) is a case in point. Today the paper shows its true colours again with its coverage of NMC Health (NMC) and more especially, and shamefully, of EasyJet (EZJ).

Tom Winnifrith Bonus Bearcast: Link cover up for Neil Woodford, The Sunday Times sucks PR (Bab) Cock again & is Miton Small Cap in deep merde?

Almost entirely recovered from illness, this bonus Bearcast covers the latest shocking news in the great establishment cover up for disgraced Neil Woodford, The Sunday Times sucking PR (Bab) Cock as the man behind Boatman is revealed and the Miton Smaller Companies Fund of Gervais Williams. Its performance is dire and redemptions are vast, is it in really deep merde or just very serious trouble?

Tom Winnifrith Bearcast - Sacking Neil Woodford makes total sense, sacking Babcock's fat cat FD does not

Recorded in my car in the City where Neil Woodford’s crumbling empire is based I flag up something bad about Woodford Patient Capital Trust (WPCT) and discuss why sacking Babcock’s (BAB)  FD is a pointless gesture.

Bear raiders Boatman savages Babcock again - new report out

When bear raiders Boatman Capital savaged Babcock (BAB) with its first report, Babcock tried to play the man not the ball, casting aspersions on its anonymous critics but history has rather vindicated the bears not the board. Now Boatman has produced a second report, focused on the need for further write downs and on the complexity of the company’s structure. The report, in full, is below.

Recorded in a car outside the mother-in-law's house in the Grim North I start with explaining just how bad this weekend will be for retail UK and what happens next. Then using ASOS (ASC) as a case study I go on to show why all broker research is pointless and worthless shite. Then to Babcock (BAB) and why bear raiders are ususally right, Boatman has been.

In today's extra long bearcast my swearing is minimal and I start with the rather bleak macro picture. How long will the sell-off continue, what is causing it and what should you do?  I then look at Audioboom (BOOM OR BUST), Sosandar (SOS), Wey Education (WEY), Frontera (FRR) and Babcock (BAB). You can book free seats to grill Sosandar, Nigel Wray etc on December 3 HERE

Babcock International – Boatman Capital publishes bear dossier: here it is in full

Bear analysts Boatman Capital made the schoolboy error of leaking part of its report to the Sunday Times. The deadwood press is part of the problem not the solution. Thus the Sunset Times scuttled off to Babcock (BAB) allowing the company to spin its side and the paper to run a piece slating the bear commentary.  Such is the sordid state of financial journalism in Britain today. Anyhow for what it is worth the full report is now out and Babcock shares are starting to slide despite the company’s spinning c/o the deadwood press…
