It is just five days to Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks and we are at just under 33% of our target so can the 93% of listeners yet to donate please do so HERE. In today’s podcast I cover the quarter of a billion quid blown, largely by Neil Woodford, at Rutherford (RUTH) and how that made Woodford, personally, even richer. I name and shame a couple of those who enabled that scam. I look at Wildcat Petroleum (WCAT), Guild ESports (GILD) and Cellular Goods (CBX) and the piss poor Times’ idea of breaking news, I mention Optibiotix (OPTI),look at Eve (EVE) which seems to be a zero to me, at spineless and busted Cineworld (CINE) and in detail at ADVFN (AFN) and its woes.

Tomograph readers will know that I ventured to the grim north over the weekend to the slums of Manchester and there I met up with Brokerman Dan. Surely my bravery in heading to the post industrial welfare safari deserves some reward. My next meeting with Dan will be on July 28 as we walk 32 miles for Woodlarks. Sponsorship, to date, now tops £13,000 (£15,500 with gift aid). Thanks to those who have donated already, to those who have not I am sure you can spare a tenner HERE. Meanwhile Dan is the shorter one on the left, dressed like he's just left the Pride march. How about a caption contest? Do you worst in the comments section below - deadline Tuesday midnight.

This time I just told the Web Sheriff law firm where to stick it. The article it objects to mentioned none of the matters currently covered by the injunction it merely mentioned celebrities xxxxxx and xxxxxx in a wholly different context. Is there really now a blanket ban on reporting all aspects of their lives? No there is not.
It is not the job of the Web Sheriff law firm to enforce the innjunction and I have repeatedly asked it when the UK Government gave it authority to do so? Of course it has not. The Web Sheriff firm declines to answer that question and nor will it say for whom it acts although it is bloddy obvious.

On the Marr show sat two journalists & a politico being interviewed by a fourth (Marr himself). They gazed at the front cover of the print edtion of the Independent on Sunday and agreed how sad they were about its demise. For today I feel that I deserve a glass of champagne for this is the last ever print edition. Hooray.
Marr, who once edited the Independent before heading off to another left wing financial black hole, that is to say the BBC, said that viewing an online edition would just not be the same. Nope that is correct.
The reality is that very few people read the Sindy. It offers the commodity product that is news plus stories pinched from others ( the business section has taken our material) without attribution and left wing columnists ranting about an agenda that few outside the metropolitan elite care about. And its mad left wing columnists are just not as good as the mad left wing columnists on The Guardian. The paper thus did not have enough readers to be viable offline.
Will it survive online with much lower fixed costs? For a while it will. But in due course

Shares in Sefton are drifting today - down to 0.27p - but the company is still capitalised at almost £8 million but is now down to its last £300,000 of cash and as yet has no CEO and no deal. The share price discounts a lot but according to certain bloggers deals are in the bag. Perhaps it is time for Sefton to come clean on 4 critical points:

One of the features of UK Investor Show is the Bloggers cafe where anyone can chat to writers both from this website and from other websites. Among the bloggers who popped in and was interviewed was David Thomas ( crazy new beard BTW Dave). You can follow him on twitter @djthomas

Doc Holiday is a friend of mine but we do not pay him to write anything on this website, he occasionally chips in. He is an honest writer and if he thinks that a share sucks he says so which is one reason that I respect him. I have written about the death threats, stalking and harassment I have received for making such calls. It appears that the poison is spreading.
Doc has just published details of a call he received on Thursday HERE
We have spoken about the call at length and he is not yet revealing full details but it was explicit and menacing. And it did not just concern Doc. The caller mentioned me four times and claimed that I was on his “hit list.”
For what it is worth the identity of the caller is known to Doc and so if I find myself under a Number 8 bus that name (along with a few others) will be passed onto the Old Bill. If he wants to come along and threaten me in person I shall be at Real Man in Clerkenwell from Tuesday to Friday next week.
The growing trend of harassing and threatening critical financial bloggers is interesting.
