BREAKING: The FCA fecking up again, the next Mini Bond catastrophe: The High Street Group – is that a fat Lady I see approaching?

On its website under heading “High Street Group In Numbers” it states its Current Estimated Value of The Group is £1.5 billion and forecasted value of the company by 2023 is £3 billion.  My forecast value by the end of 2021 is exactly zero. You will not be able to say that you were not warned. Or that the truly useless FCA has done anything,or is currently doing anything, to stop mug punters losing cash on this mini-bond disaster. Given the scrutiny it faces over London & Capital Finance that is doubly shocking.

Thursday’s Disaster for Neil Woodford – would you Adam and Eve it?

After spunking millions backing companies wanting to change the laws of physics or disrupt the markets for wooden pallets, washing machines and drinking water a chance to revolutionise the world of mattresses was just too good to pass up on for Neil Woodford. So he backed the May 2017 IPO of Eve Sleep (EVE) at 100p heavily and as the share price sank he added to his holding taking it to 29.05%. Neil always knows better than the market….

Billing Services - another Jim Mellon backed AIM disaster: don't go bottom fishing

Oh dear, this has all the makings of another AIM disaster for my good friend the offshore based asset stripper Jim Mellon. But look on the bright side Jim, you have probably lost far more of your wealth with HK dog Regent Pacific, whose shares continue to tank in an alarming fashion. Anyhow, back to the home grown disaster stories. Shares in Billing Services (BILL) are down again today to 2.875p valuing this company at £8.1 million. that looks awfully generous.

Circassia shares crash on cat trial failure - the latest Neil Woodford Biotech disaster

Hats off to veteran journalist Tim Blackstone who called Circassia (CIR) as a short with a £900 million market cap on January 16 this year HERE. Today the shares have crashed by 64% to 98.5p giving it a market cap of just £261 million. Tim Blackstone dared to go up against Neil Woodford with this call as he is the largest shareholder. It looks like another biotech disaster for Woodie.

Oh dear, Oh dear... it is savage wage cuts at the Evil Empire, the death star is failing

Our Bothan spies have again risked life and liberty to bring hot news from the Evil Empire to rebel outposts in Clerkenwell and Greece. It appears that all is not well at the Death Star. Having promised that it had "sold" 10,000 tickets to its Master Investor conference - though the venue had a capacity of fewer than 3,000 - our spies brought you photos of plenty of empty seats. Following on from that horrendeous PR and trading disaster, we now hear that freelance stormtroopers have been told they are to get pay cuts of up to 60%. Ouch. We guess that will mean only 12 pieces of silver for some folk.

Tom Winnifrith podcast: EDF & Hinkley Point the sheer folly of the Governments of France & Britain

The EDF Hinkley Point Saga shows the French Government to be fools engaged in folly in the way that it treats EDF. And it shows the British Government to be fools engaged in folly in the way that it has agreed to the Hinkley Point plans. Will the nuclear power station go ahead? I hope not. The whole saga is a disaster which the taxpayers of both France and Britain will pay for as our Governments screw up in very different ways. All is explained in this week's podcast. If you enjoyed it and listened on itunes please remember to give it a 5* rating!
