I suggest that Call Me Dave does indeed think that we oiks are just plain stupid and bring you, as evidence, a tweet he sent yesterday. It is just such nonsense, such a total canard, but I suspect he thinks if he repeats it often enough, the masses will fall for the lies of the media and political class GroupThink. Yes it is Russia again.

I start with the IRA man who is hopping mad at me yet again. Then I look at how the whole political/media class should be in the dock in the Covid enquiry as they all called for what has caused our inflationary crisis. Then it is Tingo (US:TIO), a detailed look at Audioboom (BOOM), Purplebricks (PURP), Versarien (VRS), Tern (TERN), Chill Brands (CHLL) and the regulatory threat to UK vaping. Finally, my last big Rogue Bloggers for Woodlarks training walk this Sunday will be c22 miles. It will be very hot this weekend and I have a thirsty Irishman here for supper on Saturday so may be somewhat the worse for that on Sunday morning, so think of real pain ahead and leave the 93% who have not donated & meanie Magna Carta and make a donation HERE

Author and analyst Rafi Farber is an economist who is pf the Austrian School so his observations on money printing should not be that surprising, even if his conclusion is a bold one. He speaks as the debt ceiling issue hits the headlines. Again.

I start with Matt and the other speakers at ShareStock. It is exactly five months away and – as of today – 60% of the seats are bagged so book yours now HERE. Then it is onto house prices and the affordability issue and why the entire media and political class just don’t get it: Government is the problem not the solution. Finally is Matt right about Asos (ASC). I fear it is a high risk trade at this juncture.

One of the many things that those inside the global warming GroupThink cult are unable to explain is why we should believe 30-50 year forecasts about climate change when the ones made 20 years ago have already been proved to be utterly wrong. It is as if we based our response to covid on the work of Professor Ferguson whose forecasts of hundreds of thousands of deaths from avian bird flu, swine fever, etc had proved so completely bogus. Oh, we did because“experts” inside the GroupThink are always right… but back to global warming.

If it was just down to Ukraine or printing vast amounts of new money all of Western Europe would be in the same mess. But it is not as the graphic below demonstrates. UK electricity is vastly more expensive than anywhere else in Europe? Why?

First off, I am not a Putin apologist. That I must stress this, is a sign of the Group Think at play. I walk through the rewriting of history from World War Two to 2014, addressing the catalogue of lies we are fed by the political and media classes. It is not in my name. We must all consider the facts, and stand up to this – just as we should all have done during the Covid Group Think. Those of us who did challenge that Group Think, were told we had blood on our hands. We are now vindicated - it is the Group Think leaders who should be in jail. Before you slate me on Ukraine, listen to this podcast and consider the facts I present, not the lies you are being told.

In any study, you need a control group. When it came to train-wrecking your economy, driving folks to suicide and causing untold misery through mask-wearing, social-distancing, and staying away from dying relatives, the European control group was Sweden. The MSM did the bidding of the experts and a united political class, warning that Sweden would see mass deaths and that the streets of Malmo and Stockholm would be piled high with bodies. Well, not quite, but the language was apocalyptic. Ultimately, we dissenters were wrong, and citizens should only ever “follow the science”. Or else, it would end badly for us all back in Airstrip One.

As this wretched Government in England and the even more wretched one in Wales implement more and more draconian and ludicrous policies it emerges today that there are just 10 folks across the UK in hospital with the Omicron variant, yes that is the new strain of Covid that we are told will overwhelm the NHS. Yes, that NHS – envy of the fecking world, let’s all bang pots in the street- where only 4% of beds are currently filled with Covid patients. But, of course, what we are not told is how many of the ten were admitted with Omicron or were there for some other reason and were subsequently diagnosed with Omicron. This is madness – consider what the NSPCC says today about lockdown, something Michael Gove and most of the political and media classes are pushing for.

Like, I suspect, many couples The Mrs and I stare at our fuel bills with horror. We discuss what the financial impact of higher mortgage rates will be when our current deal expires in 18 months time. I present the latest Tesco bill for her to see and it is shocking. These are the grim financial realities we dirty plebs face in Britain 2021. And then we see our leaders, and other 1%ers, flying in private jets to Glasgow to lecture us on how we should not take an Easyjet trip to Greece next summer. It is nauseating. COP26 may well be seen as yet another sign of how it is them and us. The murder of Tory MP David Amess was another.

Plan B for England should covid case numbers increase involves bringing back face masks, vaccine passports and an encouragement to work from home. And this, we are assured by the experts, will help to stop the spread of covid, protect the NHS, make us all safer, yak, yak, yak. But the problem is that there is already hard data from the British Isles to show this is utter rubbish.

The murder of Tory MP David Amess is shocking and horrible and, naturally, one thinks of his family. But the reaction of the media and political class has been telling, a sign of just how completely and utterly out of touch they are with we dirty plebs. The same could never have been said of East End born David Amess but he was an unusual fellow inside the Westminster bubble.

It is a lofty ambition but just how much leverage does the British Government have with the new regime which regards homosexuality as a sin punishable by death? Indeed, none at all. You know that, I know that and the chances of that changing are zero.

For what seems like an eternity, ever more restrictive and ludicrous rules have been imposed on us in an attempt to tackle a plague with a 99.97% survival rate on the basis that we must “follow the science.” Of course that was tommyrot.

It seems that on the other side of the river from the Welsh hovel, the plague – now with a 99.9% survival rate – is again raging among the English infidels. Cheshire East and West, I cannot remember which is which, are now designated zones for surge testing. It is not that they are awash with cases. Whole parishes, including the one on the other side of the Dee where Joshua attends nursery, are deemed white zones, that is to say almost no or no current cases. Incidentally, is that not a bit racist in suggesting white is good and er….

That I need to preface this article by saying that all deaths are regrettable is a reflection of the hysteria that the Covid GroupThink has created, which thus drives a mob torching of anyone challenging that GroupThink. But here are some bald facts. In April 2021 – a cold month – the England death rate was, at 851.2 people per 100,000, the lowest since the ONS started tracking mortality rates in 2001. 38,899 folks died in April, 6.1% below the five year average.

If we do not all wear our masks and social distance back here in Blighty then look at India and it will happen here say the Covid jihadists and those in the media and Political GroupThink. As ever data is not their strong point. Do not get me wrong, the scenes from India are shocking. But this is not covid-apocalypse hell.

The data below is from the ONS and covers England and Wales. 2020 data is provisional so maybe tweaked a bit but with that caveat you will note a couple of things. Or if you are Boris Johnson and everyone else in the political and media class GroupThink you will ignore a couple of things which show how we citizens, we Winston Smiths, have all been taken for fools. Clearly more folks died in 2020 than in the years immediately before that. Suicides were up, untreated cancer deaths were up but Covid is responsible for most of the uptick. But for those who talk of the new plague, it is not that much of an uptick is it? More critically…

The Welsh Government has found £170,000, in these times of austerity, to spunk on a report into statues, buildings, and street names that are linked to slavery or are racist in other ways. Naturally, folks like Sir Francis Drake, Nelson and Wellington are all in the firing line because their tangential or fairly minor connections to the slave trade must completely overshadow matters such as saving the nation from invasion and foreign domination. But it is my local town of Wrexham which shows up the monumental stupidity of this exercise, masterminded by the certifiably insane first minister Mark Drakeford and rubber stamped by the grossly overpaid pygmies of the Sennedd, in greatest detail.

I stand by my view that most journalists in the MSM are rightly despised as expense fiddling, PR-cock-sucking worms. However, I take my hat off to Tristan Kirk of the London Evening Standard, a paper that has in the past employed some amazing journalists though modesty prevents me from naming them. His expose on the crazy lockdown laws and penalties for breaking them is stunning. The only question is why is he running it on Twitter rather than in the paper? But as it is on Twitter, I bring it to you in full: Kirk writes:

I start with some family memories from 1893. I hope that my son and his grandchildren are able to look back to these family memories from July 2020 and laugh. I fear they may cry. I consider a journey that my son and I made yesterday from a village by the Dee in Wales to South Warwickshire, to Ratby near Leicester and back to Wales again. I consider the madness of quarantines, vaccine orders and masks, of thousands of suicides, early cancer deaths and of economic ruin. I consider the complicity of the entire mainstream media and political classes and the madness of GroupThink. We will look back on this with true horror.

I outlined at the weekend how the Government will now lie about Covid 19 in a most brazen fashion and will make appalling policy decisions which only compound previous blunders, simply to cover up those initial blunders. The media and oposition almost all went along with the GroupThink response to Coronavirus so find it hard to offer questions now, other than on minor issues of implementation. But some in the media go further spinning outright lies on behalf of the Government in its hour of need. Today’s Daily Telegraph serves up a real shocker as you can see below.

After this is all over there should be a national enquiry into why our entire political and media class is swamped by liberal arts graduates with no concept of how to analyse data and the collective intelligence of a bumble bee. It should be let by my cats who have greater predictive skills than Professor Neil Pantsdown, our, until recently, expert in chief whose always wrong computer models drove the groupthink of our leaders. Let me be clear I have no time for Boris et al on this matter as I noted earlier today HERE. However…

I explained some time ago how the political and media classes have been captured by the biggest case of GroupThink in history. There was a better way as I showed HERE. And now I bring you one chart which should cause even the most zealous advocate of lockdown to change his or her mind. Remember that the effect of the lockdown policy has been to cause the biggest economic slowdown since 1665 which will, in itself, cause untold misery and deaths.

Heidi Allen is one of the three Tory MP’s to have resigned this week to join the new Independent Group at Westminster. Like the other two she voted to remain in the EU, but told voters at the last election that she would implement the referendum result but has since done everything she can to block Brexit. She says circumstances have changed so we should have a People’s Vote. That is on Brexit but not on who should represent her seat where circumstances have clearly changed in that Heidi is now not a Tory and is now working to block Brexit. But it is not her rank double standards that is most appalling.

Yes I am a rabid Brexiteer. I want the country where, regrettably, I spend most of the year to be free to make its own laws, set its own taxes, control its own waters and chart its own destiny. I have faith that Britain can do that. Yet for sneering metropolitan elitists like the twit who tweeted me last night, as you can see below, that is incompatible with liking your fellow Europeans. Au contraire..

My late ex father in law Iwan was consistently damning about the Assembly, which governs the Wales he loved with such fervour. He was a man who had grafted away all his life as builder and developer, risking his capital and working bloody hard to make a decent living for his family and along the way paying vast amounts of tax.

The drunken career politician and all round poltroon Jean-Claude Juncker, aka the President of the Evil Empire, is the source of a leak of a meeting he had with PM Theresa May. He aims to embarrass her - in fact his leak, and the ludicrous demands made by EU leaders for pre-divorce Brexit negotiations, are Mrs's May's best presents since Jeremy Corbyn was re-elected as leader of the Labour Party.

No doubt those on the Wimmins March on Saturday who are always bleating on about how Hillary Clinton was held back by a "glass ceiling" will be delighted with the early Christmas present for sister Marine Le Pen as she seeks to become France's next President. Hang on: gender was an issue in the US but in the French contest it is politics so the wimmin want Le Pen to lose.(As it happens so do I)
Her present is a revelation that Francois Fillon (the only person who can beat Le Pen) appears to have paid his British Mrs Penny, more than a few pennies do be his assistant. In fact she earned around $538,000 according to newspaper Canard Enchaine which says that it can find no-one at all who saw her doing any work at all for her husband in his capacity as MP for the Sarthe region.
Oh dear.

Last night MPs voted by 203 votes to 7 to elect the Right Honourable Keith Vaz to the House of Commons Justice select Committee. You will remember that Vaz had to step down from chairmanship of the Home Affairs committee just a few weeks ago after being caught offering to pay for illegal drugs for a rent boy with whom he went on to have unprotected anal sex with. It was Vaz who exploited the sex worked as he insisted that the poor hooker engage in this high risk activity.

The pantomime that is the British Political Scene continues. It seems that Stephen Crabb, until last week a contender to be PM, has been playing away from home, sexting some woman he met campaigning to stay in. That is for Britain to stay in the EU, not from Mr Crabb's todger to stay in his pants.
I am no angel and if 43 year old Crabb wants to play away with a woman young enough to be his daughter that is entirely his own affair. There is nothing wrong with picking up birds in my book. But I am not so sure that his Mrs would see it that way, but, in itself, the texting though tawdry in substance, is none of our business.
Except that Crabb claims to be a devout Christian and even the pathetic and wretched

And the political classes, the folks living inside the Westminster bubble, wonder why the other 99.9% of the population think that they are scoundrels beneath contempt?
Earlier this year C4 stung Lord Malcolm Rifkind and Jack “I love illegal wars” Straw getting both to admit on camera that they would lobby for cash. I quote that good socialist Straw on camera:
I got in to see the relevant director general and his officials in Brussels … and we got the sugar regulations changed,” he said. “I mean … the crucial thing about this, it’s all, it’s public that the regulations have been changed, but the best way of dealing with these things is under the radar”
That was on behalf of a firm that had paid him £60,000. Straw added

Up to London for a lunch with libertarian fellow Shoreditch refugee Philip, a CEO meeting and then to the offices of a City law firm to moderate a panel presentation for Liquity – a new platform for investors in unlisted stocks. It is an interesting proposition and I wish the firm the best of luck, not least because it employs my fave Tory blogger Charlotte Argyle. Rather conceitedly I thought I was on pretty cracking form.
I was certainly getting a few laughs but it is quite possible that many of those present were laughing at me not at my witty asides. You never really know.
As soon as the formal bit was over I headed outside for a quick nicotine fix and a fellow who was leaving congratulated me on my style and cynicism and said I gave a most enjoyable performance. Thank you said I. He then introduced himself as a full time member of the House of Lords and thrust his card into my hand saying that he had read my blog but would become a more regular reader from now onwards.
I shall not name this fellow to spare his blushes but I find praise from a member of the political classes a bit disconcerting. Does he not know that when the Popular Libertarian Front sweeps to power in 2020 one of the first acts of Dear Leader Richard Poulden will be to have the entire political class strung up from lampposts? Naturally I shall be there in the front row with my knitting needles gloating as the tumbrils pass along the Mall.
But for his kind words tonight, I shall put in a good word with the PLF and Lord X will have his sentence commuted to 20 years in the newly established salt mines in the grim Northern Wastelands surrounding Stoke on Trent. But it got worse.

The article below was published by Eric Sprott, the guru of precious metals fund management. It applies to the US but the same issues face the UK. It is devastating.
Read this and appreciate how the political classes of the West are to a man (or woman) lying to you. They tinker, they pontificate but they are racking up liabilities which they know cannot be met. The unfunded future liabilities of the British, French, US Governments mean that they are all technically bust.
We face hard choices. We should be slashing entitlements and Government spending now. No politician will tell you this but the way we live is just not sustainable. They lie to you to get your votes. By the time we go bust they will be out of office. They do not care. Read this. Appreciate the real facts.
Conservatives in the US and UK say “Detroit is just Democratic/liberal incompetence”. That is a lie. Politicians of all parties are just as culpable. They are all lying to you.
Over to Sprott:

The beheading of a soldier in Woolwich today by two men shouting Allah Akbar is a sickening terrorist atrocity by Islamofascist nutters. Quite clearly the two nutters are very much of the home grown variety.
And so when asked to comment on this the local Labour MP Nick Raynsford rightly condemned this as an atrocity but then just could not help himself from saying how there is a multi-cultural community in his manor which sees everyone exist in blissful harmony with the local barracks. This will no doubt be the reaction of the entire political class, a class so out of touch with how we plebs feel that it cannot bring itself to speak the self-evident truth.
The vast majority of British Muslims are good folk who do not support Jihad and who will condemn what happened just as the rest of Society does. But there is a small minority of British Muslims who either actively or passively (by silence) support Islamofascist terror. And with those folks we are at war, just as we were at war with the IRA.
In those bad old days I remember being spat at as I ran on the streets in a London Irish jersey. But most folks accepted that while some people of Irish descent (like Saint Bono) sympathised or supported Saint Gerry and his blood stained friends, most of us despised the IRA and the men of violence. And as such it was perfectly legitimate to say as much.
Raynsford and his ilk just cannot bring themselves to do so when it comes to Islamofascists. This is not a race issue it is just a statement of fact. We find ourselves at war with a group who attack our very way of life. Even if we condemn Israel (I hope we do not) and withdraw from our illegal presence in Iraq and Afghanistan (I hope we do) this small minority will still attack us. And we need to acknowledge that.
If Raynsford and a political class which grew up thinking that multi-culturalism was a basic tenet of their belief system which could never be questioned, merely spout more platitudes it will alienate we plebs even more. It will foster even more of a backlash. It is time to face up to this truth. Incidentally it is also time that Muslim leaders spoke as one in condemning such acts without any caveats at all.

The Government is meant to be making spending cuts. Of course we all know that the wicked Tories are doing no such thing, spending is going up. But just for a minute let us humour Call Me Dave and pretend that MPs realise that Bankrupt Britain is going bust and that Government spending has to be cut back. So what news do we have today? MP’s reckon that local councillors should get more money for their allowances. Hell’s teeth. Labour MP Clive Betts things that compensation needs to be “appropriate.” At a number of levels this is obscene.
Checking out the website of Real Man Pizza’s local council ( Camden) I see that in the year to April 2011 ( the last available data) its local councillors cost local residents £807,473.47.

I always thought the Police Commissioner elections were a waste of space. It was just another chance of the lower members of the political establishment to stick their snouts in the trough. Step forward thieving pig Clive Grunshaw, a long serving Labour councillor and as of last month the Police and Crime Commissioner for Lancashire. He is also a thief. Go ahead and sue me Clive. Oink Oink. Sleaze. Sleaze. Oink. Oink.
The excellent Topofthecops.com blog has used FOI information to trawl Grunshaw’s expenses claims. I pass you over to that blog:
“In 2009 when Commissioner Grunshaw held roles as a County Councillor and a member of the Police Authority, he claimed that he had spent from 8 am to 1 pm on 28 September on Police Authority duties, involving a round-trip of 56 miles apparently from his home in Fleetwood to Police Headquarters at Hutton, near Preston, but then claimed 46 miles from the County Council for a round-trip to County Hall at Preston the same day, apparently being absent from home on that occasion between 12 noon and 5 pm. It is not clear how he left home on the second occasion an hour before he had arrived home from his Police Authority duties, or why he travelled 51 miles via his home instead of the 5 mile direct journey.

The political class is today delighted as Starbucks appears to be caving in and agreeing to pay more tax. No doubt Amazon and Google will follow suit. My warning here is that what is going on will cost British jobs and it stinks of high hypocrisy. And yes Margaret Hodge MP I am talking about you.
I start with Hodge who has appointed herself as witchfinder general sniffing out big American companies who pay tax rates of as little as 1% in the UK. You may remember that this was the vile woman who ran Islington Council at a time when an institutionalised paedophile ring operated in its care home system. When this started to be exposed she attacked those doing the exposing as homophobes. Her reward for allowing little kids to get buggered by council employed nonces was to be made Children’s Minister by Tony Blair. You could not make it up.

And so in today’s chapter of paedogeddon Home Secretary Theresa May and PM David Cameron claimed to be disgusted by the allegations made against a senior Tory of the Thatcher years ( who everyone now knows the name of but we cannot say) and a new enquiry into events in North Wales children’s homes has been ordered. Over at the BBC an enquiry is underway into allegations made against arch nonce Jimmy Savile and 29 others, some of them celebrities. The Old Bill has very publicly dragged Gary Glitter and Freddie Starr in for questioning and claims that other celeb arrests are imminent. Suddenly the establishment is desperate to be seen to be outraged, shocked and doing something.
It just does not wash. This is faux surprise, faux outrage and bandwagon mounting par excellence but I sense that no-one really believes any of it any more.
