The little girly snowflake swat has just been on the phone to let us know that, despite Brexit and global warming, she has got a First, in French and History, from Oxford. Suffice to say I am a very proud dad but have no idea where she gets it from.

This week, 50,000 truckers headed in a convey to Ottawa, the Truckers for Freedom. All along the route, Canadians braved minus temperatures and driving snow to wave flags and shout their support. Prime Minister Trudeau claimed he had met someone with covid and so self-isolated in a hidden bunker. Almost the entire population of Canada, with the exception of my best man the deranged socialist Darren Atwater who has offered “Ol’ blackface” sanctuary at his log cabin in the woods, is revolted by Trudeau. So tweeting from his hideout how does little Justin describe the truckers, and in effect most Canadians?

If your entire learning experience is based on reading Pink News and engaging with social media you probably think, like the pathetic snowflake Nathan below, that this is the case. Before the evil Britishers and other vile imperialists from Belgium, Germany, France and Portugal arrived in Africa the continent was a bit like Brighton in Pride week, only warmer. It really was an LGBTQA+ paradise. And then the wicked white man, especially the Britishers, arrived.

IKEA has become the latest firm to respond to woke snowflake tantrums and to pull its adverts from the little watched news channel GB News. It says that Andrew Neil’s channel does not share its “humanistic” values without being able to cite one instance from its 60 hours on air of why this is the case. As well as being a betrayal of free speech this is rank hypocrisy from a company operating four stores in Saudi Arabia.

It was 13 days ago that I did this walk – just over 20 miles. Last week my woke snowflake daughter Olaf joined me so I did just 11 miles not wishing to be accused of breaching her human rights with an act of patriarchal oppression. The route is the same as ever: along our fields by the Dee in Wales, the Bridge over to England and then walking the English side of the Dee towards Chester and back. This walk saw me end up walking past some of the smaller houses belonging to the Duke of Westminster on his extensive lands by the Dee. It does make you think a bit about the nature of inherited wealth.

Peter Brailey’s article of earlier makes one think about AIM and capitalism. I explian why, at ever level, UK Oil & Gas (UKOG) and is pig of a boss Lyin’ Steve Sanderson make me, as a capitalist, despair. I offer a few words on Phil the Greek and a few on Woodlarks. Tomorrow sees Olaf accompany me on a training walk and as the woke little snowflake struggles pity her and make a donation HERE.

Dear snowflakes, liberal progressives who know so much more about eternal truths than an old man like myself, I have an essay for you to consider. I know that you probably think that essays are old fashioned and multiple choice questions as part of ongoing course work is the future of academia but, humour me, and have a brief stab at this one. The essay title is:

Abby first sprang to fame starting an online campaign for Ed Miliband. Then she went to University and her dissertation was in how wicked Tory austerity hit vulnerable women hardest. You know that austerity which saw Government spending go up every year. That one. Now loaded down with student debt she wonders why employers are not rushing to give her job offers, Mind you it seems she has penned a few articles for The Guardian and the Huffington Post whiuch she waits for a well paid post suitable for a woman with her skills and talents.. Surely there is an NHS Trust out there with a £50,000 a year post as a diversity consultant where Abby would fit in really well? No? Abby would be a great hire for the BBC Human Resources department would she not?

Amid a flurry of calls on various matters including an invitation to meet the new Headmaster at Warwick School tomorrow to discuss Geoffrey Eve and another abuser from the "good old days" - a matter on which I have received shocking new information overnight- I have received a call from the vets. The ashes of the King of Cats, Oakley, are in an urn and ready for collection.

The great Kate Andrews of the IEA, says that whereas under socialism folks starve, capitalism ensures that all desires are met. If there is demand folks will risk capital to ensure it is met. She is, of course, right.

Across the West the story is the same. Offended snowflakes object - or in some cases far worse - and craven academics cancel events or no platform speakers. This is a matter I am now all too familiar with after giving this most excellent talk at Bath Spa University. It is surely only a matter of time before some liberal arts faculty somewhere organises a book burning. Today's demonstration of the Orwellian nature of the liberal arts campus of today comes from McMaster University in Hamilton Canada.

The narrative of folks like the BBC, The Guardian, CNN in fact the whole of the liberal media elite is that Donald Trump should not have defeated crooked Hillary in 2016. Without admitting that their gal was useless they agree that next time around the Donald just cannot win, in fact many argue that he will not stand at all. But have they actually looked at the polls in detail? If they have, they ignore them as they churn out yet more fake news.

If you are my age then you look at the photo below and are forced to admit that it is a jolly good joke about Jeremy Corbyn given recent revelations. If you are a snowflake you probably have no idea just how vile the Eastern block was how they oppressed and murdered their own folk and how evil their spies were. You were not born then. For the same reason, you probably also have no idea what bastards the IRA were and how they brought carnage to the streets not only of Northern Ireland but of Britain too. And so you still think that Comrade Corbyn is a nice old man. More fool you.

If there is one man who deserves a New Year's honour in 2018 it is the veteran LGBT and free speech campaigner Peter Tatchell. He will not be on a list packed with airhead celebs, sporting cheats, party donors and professional arse-lickers to the establishment. For, like me, Tatch is a Republican and so has refused honours for that reason and because he, rightly, views the system as rotten and corrupt.

Each time you have a new chancellor you soon find yourself thinking that the one before who, hitherto you had viewed as the biggest poltroon ever to hold up a red box, was in fact a towering genius. Thus I am beginning to think that Osborne - who was utterly hopeless was a giant compared to Hammond. On how to try to buy the votes of young people with taxpayers cash yesterday he was awful. His thinking about the housing market is wrong from start to finish.

I am sorry that bearcast is late. I am just back from lecturing the snowflake sociology students of the Mrs. I think I may have intruded on their safe space with some challenging thoughts in my talk "Lies, damned lies, public sector underpay and other myths." I hope to have a recording and the slides up here later this week. Pro tem I offer up some thoughts on Cogenpower (CGP) - to become Monreal PLC - Paternoster Resources (PRS) - now co run by Amanda Van Dyke, formerly of this Parish but now on the dark side, Falanx (FLX), Interquest (ITQ) and Conroy Gold & Natural Resources (CGNR)

As my parents' generation encountered the punk rockers their hearts must have sunk. My father can remember hearing that his uncle had been killed in the war and the heroism of that generation. As children, he and my mother suffered real austerity, that is to say rationing. My father's brother suffered National Service. Looking at a youth who enjoyed only the good life without any sense of responsibility and were still angry for some reason, my parents generation must have despaired. With hindsight the 1970s was a golden era.

Yesterday it was free speech denial at Edinburgh. Today it is my old place, Oxford, that serves up a tale which just leaves it as an object of ridicule. It started with the Vice Chancellor Professor Louise Richardson who, rather foolishly, suggested that students who are upset with their tutors for expressing views against homosexuality should “challenge” them, rather than reporting their tutors to university authorities.

In the 1930s Nazi Germany organised the burning of books that the State considered degenerate. The state, or rather the party, got to decide what everyone else should read. Back then the British left stood for free speech. How that has changed.

Online virtue signalling liberal pests Avaaz claimed credit for Macron's victory but said they were robbed by the Trump triumph. That was really a win for them too. Now the virtue signallers are going for a hat-trick of wins and have turned their attemntion to the British Election where threy plan to stop the wicked Tories. Indeed they have contacted me about my vote in Bristol East. Sadly their maths makes those of Dianne Abbott look like Einstein. The snowflakes write:

Buzzfeed likes publishing fake news about Donald Trump and others. It ignores basic journalistic ethics on fact checking but when its pea brained columnists get to twitter they just make things up. Meet Leticia Miranda, Consumer Affairs Reporter who asks on twitter "Is this offensive?"

When you want to campaign for a change in the law it helps when you are not telling complete lies on day one. And that brings me to liberal email campaign group Change.Org which wants pregnant mums to be given more time than the rest of us to sue for unfair dismissal. So I get an email from a woman called Jodi Brearley of "Pregnant then Screwed". Jodi's personal tale is heart warming but then she starts lying.

Starbucks has kicked off against President Trump after his "Muslim ban" which, of course, is no such thing. Its boss Howard Schultz says he is going to hire 10,000 refugees in 75 countries - many of which do not have minimum wage legislation - to show where it stands. Goodie goodie, more hard working folks who will accept shit wages to boost profits of big corporates and the stock options of their fat cat bosses. But this show of naked self interest, oops I meant real humanity, has impressed some millennials. This snowflake really is virtue incarnate and is going to change the whole fucking world. Bring on the revolution! Power to the people!

My wife is younger than I am and her social set here in Bristol is younger than she is and thus on New Year's Eve I found myself with a group of folks in their mid thirties. I shall be 49 in ten days time. There were a stack of babies and young children there and one adult opined "it is just as if everyone is having babies, is it a Bristol thing?" No, dippy snowflake, it is a function of how old you are.
