Some folks have learned nothing from the Jeremy Vine incident. Social media is a sewer. Today Gary engaged with an obvious nutter. I discuss.

In today’s podcast, I discuss the two big media stories of the week: GB News getting no viewers at all at some stage last week and the idea that social media posters should have to disclose their identity. That is where the rent boys (non) issue comes up.

“So you are an anti-vaxxer” she said to me as I dared to offer a modest dissent from the party line. The Ministry of Truth, aka The BBC and the social media companies, are leading the charge to eradicate social media posts by wicked anti-vaxxers lest they confuse the plebs. There is even talk of specialist army units being brought in to fight this menace. In the way that, this summer, anyone who did not apologise for historic slave activities by taking a knee was deemed to be alt-right extremist who needed re-education, anti vaxxers must now be insulted and, once suitably demonised in the eyes of the population, purged.

Canaccord quit as Nomad to Versarien (VRS) partly because of the social media antics of its CEO Lyin’ Neill Ricketts. Obviously, new Nomad SP Angel does not care about that as it was happy to act for proven fraud MySquar (MYSQ). Do John Meyer and his cronies have any standards at all? And how will AIM Regulation take Neill’s latest lies

ShareSoc has today taken a stand against folks who make threats on Social Media. The stench of double standard is overwhelming.

Since Tuesday morning shares in Eurasia Mining (EUA) , a darling of the bulletin boards and the star performer on the AIM Casino so far this year, have been suspended. The longer the suspension lasts the more extreme conspiracy theories, both bull and bear, do the rounds. The company made one brief statement on Tuesday afternoon:

Tomorrow is world end Female Genital Mutilation day and to show how they support this Police Forces across the land are taking time off from painting their fingernails blue to show how they oppose slavery, to send out some tweets. Surrey Police Force has taken an admirable lead in is social media fight to #EndFGM but seems annoyed by the response.

As a lifelong supporter of Ulster and Irish Rugby I was this weekend celebrating a famous and thrilling win in Paris. My father said he could almost not bear to watch the final minutes but he managed it and was euphoric. Our brave lads were led out by skipper Rory Best of Ulster but if you check out social media you will see that in the run up there was a most hateful campaign against Best. His "crime?"

I am conscious of the phenomena of sharenting where folks flood social media with photos of their offspring to the interest of no-one but themselves. So feel free to ignore what follows but after a very trying day in Kalamata where my almost one year old son behaved like a total saint he posed, on his return, for three photos where he looks like an angel. The top photo was taken a week ago as his mother prepared him for his first sea swim. I am biased, I think he looks amazing. But all the other folks here at our hotel dote on him. They all say hello Joshua and he waves back. The two main waitresses blow kisses at him and he blows kisses back. Okay, judge for yourself.

The petty criminal, market abuser and deluded fantasist Chris Oil has announced that he is to quit social media and to stop posting on his tedious blog. He fails to explain why but he has put out a pompous statement on his blog echoed in a tweet. I bring you highlights of Oil's two years on Social Media below but first his blog statement which reads:

Give the many admirers that my morbidly obese three legged cat Oakley has (well Brokerman Dan at least) it is time that the old boy got into social media and so as of today his very own facebook page has gone live. If you want to "friend" the creature also known as Benefits Street, you can do so here

My views on the situation in Gaza are pretty clear but are summed up in my weekly video postcard HERE.
I have been subjected to a hailstorm of abuse on twitter. One fellow said Israel should show moral superiority by defending itself without attacking rocket sites in Gaza. Hmmm think about that one. He was one of the more reasonable fellows.
Meanwhile Social Media is flooded with pics from Gaza supplied by Hamas and dutifully carried without verification by Israel haters such as the BBC. In that vein I invited you to play “spot the difference” on one picture currently doing the rounds to show how wicked the frigging Jews are. This is an alternative to the caption contest.

For what it is worth my entry is: "If the BBC says it was the wicked Jews who killed those kids both times surely we must believe it."

I gather some Russian chappie has hacked into LinkedIn and stolen 6 million passwords. How enterprising. Given that it has to be the most boring site going I am not sure what he will do with them but, if he is heading this I wonder if I could beg a favour? It is some time since I last logged in to check my three dozen invites to connect with IFAs in the Northern wastelands and I have forgotten my password.
