On the main BBC news programme the other day, veteran BBC reporter John Simpson, a man who has Guardian reading liberal prejudices in his DNA and whose sense of smug superiority is ever present, served up a report on the Foreign Policy transition from Donald Trump to the man who wants to smell your teenage daughter’s hair.
It has been established that there was no Russian collusion with Trump in 2016; it was a Clinton smear. Simpson reported it as fact anyway. Simpson asserted there were very few foreign policy successes. North Korea? Israel making peace with a string of Arab nations? It was glossed over as Simpson readied himself to blow off Biden. So what else is the BBC not going to say about Trump?
How about the annual Gallup poll of who Americans admire most in the world. This poll has been running each year since 1946 and for the past 12 years, I kid you not, President Obama has won it, probably for bringing “peace” to the Middle East by blowing up stacks of Arabs.
But for 2020 there was a new winner, Mr Donald Trump on 18%. Obama was on 15% with the field being: creepy Joe Biden (6%), Covid flip flopper Dr Anthony Fauci (3%), Pope Francis (2%), and then 1% apiece for the Dalai Lama, basketballer LeBron James, Senator Bernie Sanders, businessmen Bill Gates, and fraudster Elon Musk.
While Obama’s wins were reported widely across the MSM, this victory for the Donald has been widely ignored. I can’t think why.
